    Supply Chain Officer

    Competencies & Skills

    Educational & Professional Requirements

    • A bachelor's degree in Business Administration or any related field.
    • Minimum of 5years experience in supply chain and logistics

    Role Responsibilities: 

    • Prepare and process requisition orders, purchase orders, requests for quotations, and comparative quote analyses, with recommendations for supplier selection. Maintain accurate records and audit trail documents.
    • Plan, schedule, and oversee the receipt of raw materials, consumables, and spare parts, including physical receipt and organization of shipments when required.
    • Manage card order processes, ensuring timely supply of materials to support production schedules, while monitoring stock levels.
    • Reconcile supply chain products against invoices and supply documents to ensure accuracy.
    • Process all orders and documentation, ensuring completeness and compliance with supplier and internal requirements.
    • Inspect and manage material returns from inventory, maintaining accurate records to troubleshoot quality issues.
    • Review supplier invoices and coordinate timely payment processing in line with agreed terms and company policy.
    • Collaborate with departments including Inventory, Quality Control, Sales, and Order Management to ensure seamless supply chain operations and effective communication on changes.
    • Implement supply chain best practices and ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
    • Maintain updated registers and files related to supply chain and logistics and prepare operational reports for management review.
    • Build and maintain strong professional relationships with suppliers, service providers, and internal stakeholders.

    • Procure materials, equipment, and spare parts to support production needs, including negotiating pricing and shipment terms with suppliers, vendors, and freight forwarders.
    • Plan, schedule, and oversee the receipt of raw materials, office and production consumables, and spare parts, ensuring timely delivery and proper organization of shipments.
    • Assess current orders, forecast future demand, and proactively respond to changes in supply chain or demand to prevent disruptions.
    • Maintain clear communication with internal teams to ensure smooth order processing and avoid unforeseen changes.
    • Process and document all orders, including supplier paperwork, internal documentation, and initiation of supplier payment processing.
    • Monitor and evaluate supplier performance to ensure compliance with quality and delivery requirements.
    • Conduct supplier assessments and on-site visits to appraise manufacturing and production capabilities.
    • Meet with suppliers to review performance metrics and provide constructive feedback.
    • Collaborate with production, maintenance, and quality assurance teams to identify, qualify, and onboard new suppliers.
    • Implement systems and procedures for supplier evaluation, performance tracking, and continuous improvement.
    • Drive cost efficiency by controlling spending and fostering a culture of long-term savings in procurement activities.
