    Agile Project Manager

    Job Summary: As an Agile Project Manager specializing in Agency Banking, you will lead the planning, execution, and delivery of agency banking projects using Agile methodologies. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure projects are completed iteratively, on time, and in alignment with business objectives. Your experience in agency banking and Agile project management will be critical in driving the success of our agency banking initiatives.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Lead the adoption and implementation of Agile methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban, for agency banking projects, fostering a culture of collaboration, transparency, and continuous improvement.
    • Facilitate Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives, ensuring that project teams are aligned, focused, and committed to achieving sprint goals.
    • Work closely with product owners, business stakeholders, and development teams to prioritize and manage the product backlog, ensuring that user stories are well-defined, estimated, and ready for sprint planning.
    • Coach and mentor Agile project teams on Agile principles, practices, and frameworks, promoting self-organization, accountability, and continuous delivery of value.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and success criteria, translating business requirements into actionable user stories and acceptance criteria.
    • Monitor project progress and performance using Agile metrics and tools, such as burndown charts, velocity, and cumulative flow diagrams, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.
    • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration and communication, removing impediments and dependencies, and promoting a culture of shared ownership and accountability for project outcomes.
    • Manage project risks and dependencies, proactively identifying and mitigating risks, resolving issues, and escalating concerns to leadership as needed to ensure project success.
    • Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement, facilitating knowledge sharing, retrospectives, and lessons learned sessions to capture insights and drive process optimization.
    • Cultivate a customer-centric mindset, advocating for the voice of the customer and ensuring that project deliverables meet user needs and expectations.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Project Management, Information Technology, or related field; Agile certification (e.g., PSM1 or CSM) preferred.
    • Minimum of 4 years of experience in Agile project management, with a focus on delivering projects in the agency banking or financial services industry.
    • Proven track record of successfully leading Agile projects from initiation to closure, including experience with Agile planning, execution, and delivery.
    • Strong understanding of agency banking operations, including agent networks, cash management, payments, and regulatory compliance.
    • Ability to work in a hybrid environment
    • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively influence and collaborate with diverse stakeholders and team members.
    • Experience working with Agile tools and software, such as Jira, Confluence, or Azure DevOps, to facilitate Agile project management and collaboration.
    • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple Agile projects concurrently, while maintaining a focus on quality and delivery.

    Head of Technology

    Overview

    • We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Head of Technology to lead the technology function for our Agency business. Reporting directly to the Group CTO, the ideal candidate will bring strategic leadership, technical expertise, and a deep understanding of fintech or banking technology environments.
    • This role demands a leader who is well-grounded in AWS cloud infrastructure, PHP/Laravel, .NET Framework and Java development, with the ability to build and maintain scalable systems while managing diverse teams. The position is hybrid, but the candidate must reside in Lagos for effective on-site leadership when required.

    Key Responsibilities

    Technology Leadership:

    • Develop and execute the technology strategy for the Agency business, ensuring alignment with the broader organizational vision set by the Group CTO.
    • Lead and manage the engineering, support, and infrastructure teams, driving performance and fostering collaboration.
    • Act as the primary technical authority, ensuring high standards of delivery across all functions.

    Team Development & Performance:

    • Build and nurture a high-performing technology team, providing mentorship and leadership to elevate team capabilities.
    • Conduct team performance reviews, working closely with the Group CTO to ensure alignment with organizational objectives.

    Technical Oversight & Innovation:

    • Architect, design, and manage AWS cloud solutions to ensure reliability, scalability, and security.
    • Oversee software development using PHP/Laravel and Java, maintaining adherence to industry best practices.
    • Drive innovation by evaluating and implementing emerging technologies to enhance the Agency business's competitive edge.

    Strategic Collaboration:

    • Collaborate with the Group CTO and other stakeholders to align technology initiatives with business goals.
    • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards, particularly in fintech and banking contexts.
    • Provide technical insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making at the group level.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
    • At least 7+ years of experience in senior technology leadership roles, with a strong focus on fintech or banking technology.
    • Advanced knowledge and certifications in AWS cloud infrastructure are highly desirable.
    • Extensive experience in PHP/Laravel and Java
    • Proven success in leading and scaling technical teams in high-pressure environments.
    • Strong knowledge of agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
    • Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
