    Key Account Channel Manager

    Key Responsibilities and Tasks
    Channel Strategy & Development:
    Market Planning:

    • Conduct in-depth analysis of the Nigerian mobile phone retail landscape. Identify and target key KA clients (e.g., national/regional chains like Slot, Pointek, 3CHUB, Raya). Develop phased and executable channel development roadmaps.

    New Channel Acquisition:

    • Proactively engage, negotiate, and successfully secure partnerships with new retail chain accounts. Manage the end-to-end onboarding process including product listing, POS material deployment, system integration, and store staff training.

    Partnership Program Design:

    • Formulate competitive trade terms and partnership programs (including but not limited to procurement agreements, profit margins, market development funds, joint marketing plans) based on company policies and market conditions.

    Team Collaboration & Support:
    Internal Coordination:

    • Work closely with internal teams (Product, Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance) to secure timely product supply, marketing resources, and credit policies to support frontline sales.

    Market Intelligence Feedback:

    • Systematically collect, analyze, and feedback market intelligence, customer needs, competitor dynamics, and product issues from channels and point-of-sale to support decision-making for company strategy adjustments.

    Risk Management:

    • Monitor channel inventory health and price system stability. Prevent and resolve channel conflicts such as cross-regional sales and price disruption.

    Data Analysis & Reporting:
    Regular Reporting:

    • Regularly prepare and submit channel sales reports, market analysis reports, and client evaluation reports.

    Data Analysis

    • Utilize data analysis tools to deeply mine sales data, identify issues, and formulate improvement plans.

    Qualifications
    Education & Experience:

    • Bachelor's degree or above, preferably in Marketing, Business Administration, or related fields
    • Minimum 3 years of KA channel management experience in the consumer electronics industry.
    • Prior successful experience in developing KA channels for mobile phones/consumer electronics in Nigeria or West Africa is highly preferred.

    Channel Network:

    • Established connections and a proven track record of successful partnerships with major mobile phone retail chains in Nigeria (e.g., Slot, Pointek, etc.) are essential.

    Competencies:

    • Excellent business negotiation, communication, and influencing skills.
    • Strong data analysis and problem-solving abilities.
    • Results-driven, able to work under pressure, and self-motivated.
    • Outstanding planning and execution skills, capable of managing complex projects independently.

    Language:

    • Fluent in English (business written and spoken). Proficiency in local languages such as Hausa, Yoruba, or Igbo will be a significant advantage.

    Others:

    • Willingness and ability to undertake high-frequency domestic travel. Familiarity with local business culture.

    Loan Verification Officer

    Description
    As we scale, you will play a mission-critical role in safeguarding our credit operations. As a Loan Verification Officer, you will:

    • Conduct high-quality offline merchant verification visits across assigned LGAs.
    • Validate the authenticity, capacity, and operational integrity of merchants requesting loans.
    • Ensure accurate documentation, geo-tagged evidence, and risk assessments to support credit decisions.
    • Monitor post-disbursement merchants to confirm loan utilization and repayment readiness, reducing early-stage defaults.

    Key Responsibilities
    Field Verification & Business Validation:

    • Conduct in-person merchant verification visits across designated LGAs.
    • Confirm physical store presence, business category, operational capacity, staff activity, inventory levels, and trading patterns.
    • Validate merchant identity and operations through live observations and structured interviews.

    Document Collection & Evidence Capture

    • Collect and upload required documents for verification.
    • Ensure all information submitted is accurate, complete, and compliant with internal/CBN standards.

    Merchant Engagement & Loan Assessment:

    • Engage merchants to understand business model, cashflow, loan purpose, and capacity.
    • Confirm alignment between the requested loan amount and the merchant’s operational reality.
    • Educate merchants on disbursement conditions, repayment expectations, and responsibilities.

    Risk Identification & Reporting:

    • Prepare clear, timely, and factual verification reports for the Credit Team.
    • Flag high-risk cases and recommend follow-up actions or additional checks where needed.

    Post-Disbursement Monitoring:

    • Revisit merchants who have drawn down loans to:
      • Confirm actual utilization of funds ○ Assess repayment readiness and early risk signals
      • Identify red flags such as weak sales, reduced inventory, operational decline, or evasive behavior
    • Submit revisit reports within required timelines to strengthen early-warning systems.

    Your Profile Experience

    • Education: OND / HND / Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
    • 1–2 years as a Field Loan Officer, Verification Officer, Merchant Onboarding Officer, or similar role in a fintech, microfinance, or digital lender.
    • Technical Skills: Familiarity with mobile verification tools, geo-tagging, documentation standards, and simple reporting dashboards.

    Core Competencies:

    • Strong attention to detail
    • Excellent observational and communication skills
    • High integrity and sound judgment

    Risk-aware mindset with knowledge of lending and MSME dynamics Work Style:

    • Comfortable with extensive field travel
