Job Description

• Developing, Reviewing, and documenting of all Quality documents like Quality Manual, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and Batch Manufacturing Records (BMRs) of products.
• Operational knowledge of critical laboratory equipment like HPLC, UV, FTIR, AAS, dissolution apparatus, melting point apparatus, muffle furnace, and other basic laboratory equipment.
• Ensure systems are in compliance with current SOPs.
• Analytical method development and standardization of laboratory test procedures on new and existing products.
• Calibration and verification of laboratory equipment.
• Review and release raw materials, intermediate products, and finished products.
• Maintain and update the quality control trending database.
• Assist investigations and resolve potential product quality issues to improve efficiency.
• Assist with writing, revising, and approving standard operating procedures.
• Chemical and physical analysis of raw materials, intermediate and finished products.
• Preparation and standardization of volumetric laboratory reagents.
• Ensure good laboratory practices.
• In-process Quality control of the production process from dispensing operations of materials, to processing and packaging of finished products according to cGMP and the Company’s standard specifications.

Requirements

• BSc / HND in Biochemistry, Chemistry, Chemical engineering, or in a similar discipline
• 3-5 years of experience proven experience as a quality assurance officer or relevant role
• Thorough knowledge of methodologies of quality assurance and standards
• Excellent numerical skills and understanding of data analysis/statistical methods
• Good knowledge of MS Office and databases
• Outstanding communication skills
• Great attention to detail and a results-driven approach
• Excellent organizational and leadership abilities
• Reliable and Trustworthy.

Responsibilities

• Devise procedures to inspect and report quality issues
• Monitor all operations that affect the quality
• Supervise and guide inspectors, technicians, and other staff
• Assure the reliability and consistency of production by checking processes and final output
• Appraise customers’ requirements and make sure they are satisfied
• Report all malfunctions to production executives to ensure immediate action
• Facilitate proactive solutions by collecting and analyzing quality data
• Review current standards and policies
• Keep records of quality reports, statistical reviews, and relevant documentation
• Ensure all legal standards are met
• Communicate with external quality assurance officers during on-site inspections

Requirements and Skills

• BSc / HND in Biochemistry, Chemistry, Chemical engineering, or in a similar discipline
• Proven experience as a quality assurance supervisor or relevant role
• 5-10 years experience with supervisory experience a plus.
• Thorough knowledge of methodologies of quality assurance and standards
• Excellent numerical skills and understanding of data analysis/statistical methods
• Good knowledge of MS Office and databases
• Outstanding communication skills
• Great attention to detail and a results-driven approach
• Excellent organizational and leadership abilities
