    Marine Quality Assurance Lead

    Job Summary

    • The Marine Quality Assurance Lead will develop, implement and maintain quality assurance processes for the company’s chartered maritime tonnage in line with the applicable company requirements on positive vetting of marine assets, equipment, terminals and supply base jetties.
    • The Incumbent will work closely with appropriate internal and external stakeholders to improve the vessel quality, assurance and safety standards and performance of maritime contractors.
    • The incumbent will play a key role in driving Logistics Marine business objectives and risk management performance and contribute as the coordinator of all marine assurance activities within Marine department.
    • The incumbent will provide technical expertise and advice in the event of a maritime incident.

    Key Responsibilties
    To manage and deploy a team to support the following activities:

    • Custodian of the Marine Logistics Quality Management System, Maritime HSE Case, HRA and ISO14001 Standards.
    • Developing an annual HSSE and assurance plan for Marine Logistics; monitor performance against targets on a monthly basis and provide feedback to Marine Management Team.
    • Managing vessel clearances for eligible vessels specific to task, location and time.
    • Managing positive vetting for all vessels utilised by the company
    • Contribute to the overall achievement of the company’s “Goal Zero” objectives.
    • Develop, implement and maintain a robust vessel and vessel manager quality assurance programme in accordance with the company’s requirements. Periodically review the effectiveness of the controls and provide feedback to Marine Management Team. Implement a “zero tolerance” culture on vessel and vessel manager quality assurance requirements.
    • Support Marine Contract Holders in implementing and maintaining contractor management processes in line with company’s requirements.
    • Organise Quarterly safety seminars for the company’s maritime community.
    • Incumbent and contractor support staff to conduct regular vessel visits as part of Visible Safety Leadership activities.
    • Ensure maritime near miss and incident investigations, when required, are executed with appropriate support. Disseminate learnings within Marine Logistics and the maritime contractors. Develop LFIs and communicate to the relevant stakeholders within the company. Incumbent shall be fully conversant with the company’s incident reporting systems and procedures.
    • Generate incident analysis reports on a monthly basis and provide feedback to Marine Management Team. Share appropriate incident related learnings from the peers and industry bodies.
    • Provide emergency response and crisis management support in the event of maritime incidents.
    • Support the company’s LOA 1,2 & 3 activities. Remain as the focal point for follow up and close out verification of action items from internal, independent and external audits associated with maritime and HSSE activities. Share best practices and transfer learnings from assurance activities of other business and operating units.
    • Contract Holder for non-vessel contracts to support maritime safety, operations and assurance, as required by Head of Maritime
    • Undertake ad hoc projects and actions as allocated by Head of Maritime and deliver those within agreed time frames.
    • Provide out of office cover for Head of Maritime under delegated authorities.

    Job Requirements

    • Class I Deck or Engine Unlimited Certificate of Competence
    • Personnel with other qualifications but having the necessary operational/management level maritime experience may be considered for this role e.g. A related degree or Class II certificate of competence may be acceptable on a case-by-case review of competence, skills and abilities
    • A minimum of 10 years’ experience in the Oil and Gas industry.
    • Both marine offshore and tanker experience
    • Dynamic Positioning (DP)
    • Vessel Quality Assurance experience.
    • Accredited OCIMF OVIQ inspector or IMCA eCMID inspector
    • Previous exposure to Inspections and Audits
    • Previous exposure to vessel assurance processes and systems
    • Experience commensurate with appointment as an Authorised Person in Maritime
    • Safety.
    • HSE MS management and auditing experience.
    • Exposure to vessel and vessel manager quality assurance related activities.
    • Previous experience in Marine Logistics.
    • Previous experience in an Upstream Maritime Team Lead role is preferred.
    • Excellent HSE Leadership.
    • Excellent interpersonal relationship with customer focus.
    • Pre & post tender contract management.
    • Cost management.

    Installation Engineer

    Job Purpose

    • The Installation Engineer supports the Company during the preparation, engineering and execution phases of a FSO replacement.
    • The role ensures that installation scopes are properly prepared upstream and executed safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with Company specifications, applicable standards and HSE requirements.

    Responsibilities

    • Lead the definition, preparation and technical oversight of offshore installation scopes, ensuring robust, constructible solutions aligned with Company standards, operational constraints and execution objectives.
    • Review and validate engineering and contractor documentation related to mooring systems, riser disconnection and reconnection, offshore structures and FSO modifications, ensuring compliance with specifications, approved methodologies and design bases.
    • Develop, challenge and validate installation strategies, sequences and scenarios, contributing to the project planning by identifying critical paths, key interfaces and schedule sensitivities.
    • Lead the identification, assessment and mitigation of technical and operational risks, including constructability, interfaces, vessel and equipment constraints, logistics, metocean conditions and site-specific limitations.
    • Identify potential Change Orders at an early stage, assess their technical and schedule impacts, and support the Company in their technical justification and management.
    • Actively contribute to execution readiness, consolidating installation envelopes, key assumptions, constraints and technical risk registers, and embedding lessons learned into the execution strategy.
    • Support the definition and validation of execution sequences and mitigation measures with the objective of minimizing full field shutdown duration and production exposure, identified as key points of vigilance.
    • Lead the technical follow-up of offshore installation activities, including surveys, installation works, mooring operations and riser disconnection/reconnection, ensuring interface alignment and execution consistency.
    • Manage technical interactions with Contractors, including review of procedures, technical studies, responses to Technical Queries, follow-up of fabrication and offshore execution, and implementation of corrective actions where required.
    • Ensure continuous coordination with Company HQ technical specialists and Asset teams, validating critical technical choices, resolving technical issues and maintaining technical consistency throughout execution.
    • Ensure that as-built documentation and records of modifications, including those related to both FSO units, are properly prepared, reviewed and formally handed over to the Company

    Required Qualification and Background

    • Qualification: Engineering degree (or equivalent) in Offshore, Marine, Mechanical, Structural or related discipline.
    • Proven experience in offshore installation projects, including mooring systems, riser disconnection and reconnection, offshore structures and FSO-related activities.
    • Demonstrated experience in a senior or lead role, with strong capability to manage technical interfaces, contractors and execution risks.

    Professional Experience (number of years): 15
    Experience within project: (number of years): 10
    Offshore Certifications:

    • Valid offshore medical fitness certificate.
    • Valid BOSIET/HUET certification from an OPITO-approved training provider.
    • Valid GSES certification is required to act as the Company Representative during the construction phase 

    HSE & Professional Requirements:

    • Strong knowledge of offshore HSE requirements and the company safety rules.
    • Ability to act as Company Representative offshore, ensuring compliance with Company standards, procedures and offshore, ensuring compliance with Company standards, procedures and HSE requirements.
    • Good command of English, both written and spoken.
