    Chief of Staff / Project Leader / Internal Comms Lead

    Purpose of the Role

    • The Chief of Staff / Project Leader will serve as the strategic right hand to the CEO, driving execution of Elevare Africa’s vision and ensuring the successful launch and scale-up of the firm.
    • Acting as both integrator and execution engine, this role bridges strategy with disciplined delivery—enabling the CEO to focus on thought leadership, stakeholder relationships, and business growth.

    Key Accountabilities
    Strategic Partnership:

    • Act as a trusted advisor to the CEO, helping refine Elevare’s positioning and frameworks (e.g., HAOS – Human + Systems Transformation).
    • Translate strategic vision into clear priorities, work streams, and success measures.
    • Provide analysis, insights, and recommendations to support decision-making.

    Program & Project Leadership:

    • Lead the day-to-day management of Elevare’s launch program (timelines, deliverables, budgets, dependencies).
    • Oversee project plans across branding, business development, stakeholder activation, and events.
    • Maintain the 90-day milestone tracker and ensure accountability across all initiatives.

    Business Development Enablement:

    • Support the development of client materials (proposals, case studies, ROI models, presentations).
    • Track pipeline opportunities and prepare the CEO for client/investor engagements.
    • Research market trends and competitive insights to strengthen Elevare’s positioning.

    Stakeholder & Advisory Council Engagement:

    • Coordinate engagement with Elevare’s Founding Advisory Council, collaborators, and champions.
    • Manage meeting agendas, prep materials, follow-up actions, and relationship tracking.
    • Build and maintain a stakeholder engagement database/CRM system.

    Operations & Organisational Effectiveness:

    • Design Elevare’s early-stage operating model (processes, tools, governance rhythms).
    • Support the identification, contracting, and onboarding of collaborators or 1099 staff.
    • Establish reporting rhythms (weekly check-ins, monthly reviews, progress dashboards).

    CEO Leverage:

    • Anticipate CEO's needs, ensuring she is prepared for key meetings and events.
    • Draft, refine, and package CEO communications (emails, speeches, thought leadership posts).
    • Protect CEO bandwidth by managing the flow of information, priorities, and execution follow-through.

    Success Measures

    • Elevare Africa launch executed credibly and on time (January 2026).
    • Elevare’s value proposition and USP are consistently embedded in all materials.
    • A 90-day milestone plan is executed with visible progress on business development, stakeholder engagement, and operational readiness.
    • Founding Advisory Council and key stakeholders are effectively engaged and activated.
    • CEO has the leverage to focus on external impact while execution is seamlessly managed.

    Ideal Background & Attributes

    • Former management consultant or project leader (Accenture or similar top-tier firm experience preferred).
    • Proven ability to manage complex, multi-workstream projects.
    • Exceptional communicator—skilled at creating executive-ready materials.
    • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in an entrepreneurial/ startup environment.
    • Confident, discreet, and able to act as a thought partner to a senior leader.

    Research and Portfolio Manager

    Job Purpose

    • The Portfolio Manager & Research professional is responsible for conducting investment research, developing investment strategies, and managing client and proprietary portfolios in line with approved mandates, risk limits, and regulatory requirements.
    • The role combines fundamental and market research with active portfolio construction and performance management to achieve superior risk-adjusted returns.

    Key Responsibilities
    Investment Research:

    • Conduct fundamental, macroeconomic, and market research on equities, fixed income, money market instruments, and alternative assets.
    • Analyse economic trends, monetary and fiscal policies, interest rate movements, and capital market developments in Nigeria and relevant global markets.
    • Develop investment theses, valuation models, and research reports to support investment decisions.
    • Monitor portfolio holdings and provide ongoing research updates and recommendations.

    Portfolio Management:

    • Manage client and proprietary portfolios in line with approved investment mandates, risk limits, and asset allocation guidelines.
    • Execute portfolio rebalancing and tactical asset allocation decisions.
    • Ensure compliance with investment guidelines, client mandates, and internal risk limits.
    • Optimise portfolio performance while managing downside risks and liquidity.

    Investment Strategy & Asset Allocation:

    • Support development of strategic and tactical asset allocation frameworks.
    • Participate in investment committee meetings and present research findings and portfolio recommendations.
    • Contribute to product development and structuring of new investment products and funds.

    Performance Monitoring & Reporting:

    • Monitor portfolio performance against benchmarks and peers.
    • Analyze sources of performance and risk (performance attribution).
    • Prepare investment and performance reports for clients, management, and the Board.
    • Support regulatory and investor reporting requirements.

    Risk Management & Compliance:

    • Work closely with risk and compliance teams to ensure adherence to SEC rules, fund documentation, and internal policies.
    • Monitor market, credit, liquidity, and concentration risks within portfolios.
    • Ensure all investment activities comply with SEC Nigeria regulations and firm policies.

    Client & Stakeholder Engagement:

    • Support client meetings, presentations, and investment updates.
    • Respond to client and investor queries on portfolio performance and strategy.
    • Liaise with custodians, brokers, and investment operations teams to ensure efficient trade execution and settlement.

    Qualifications & Experience

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration, or related discipline.
    • Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, or MBA is an added advantage.
    • Relevant professional certifications such as CFA, CISI, or ICAN (for investment analysis) are highly desirable.
    • Minimum of 5–10 years relevant experience in portfolio management and investment research.
    • Prior experience within an asset management firm, investment bank, pension fund, or other SEC-regulated institution is preferred.
    • Strong understanding of Nigerian capital markets and investment instruments.
    • Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
    • Solid understanding of portfolio construction and risk management principles.
    • Strong financial modelling and valuation skills.
    • Excellent report writing and presentation skills.
    • Strong judgment, integrity, and decision-making ability.
    • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing market conditions.

    Performance Indicators

    • Risk-adjusted portfolio performance versus benchmarks.
    • Quality and timeliness of investment research and recommendations.
    • Compliance with investment mandates and risk limits.
    • Client satisfaction and retention.
    • Contribution to new product development and assets under management (AUM) growth.
