    Fleet Manager

    Responsibilities

    • To assist in the recruitment of quality drivers into the fleet.
    • To ensure the safe operations of company vehicles and services.
    • To develop efficient driver schedules to maximize profits.
    • To find ways to cut costs and maximize profits.
    • To adopt defensive driving techniques while using company vehicles.
    • To maintain adequate time schedule on all movements.
    • Check vehicle paper regularly and renew when due for renewal.
    • Ensure compliance with federal and state laws.
    • To schedule regular vehicle maintenance to ensure operational efficiency.
    • Detect and minimize or eliminate safety hazards.
    • Inspects vehicle for safety, oil, water and tyre before each departure.
    • To inform the company of the position of the vehicle/motorcycle from time to time.
    • Any other task as assigned from time to time.

    Qualifications

    • Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree with 3 - 5 years progressive work experience.

    Backend Engineer

    Job Summary

    • We are seeking a Backend Engineer with strong experience in fintech and asset management processes to join our team.
    • The ideal candidate will help build and maintain backend systems that support investment portfolios, client fund management, and reporting for asset managers.
    • The role requires strong expertise in Java Spring Boot for backend development, as well as the ability to build web interfaces using React and Thymeleaf (or similar MVC libraries).

    Key Responsibilities

    • Build REST APIs and microservices using Java Spring Boot.
    • Develop web dashboards and admin 5interfaces using React and Thymeleaf/MVC frameworks.
    • Support core asset management workflows, including portfolio tracking, subscriptions/redemptions, and fee calculations.
    • Integrate systems with market data providers, custody platforms, and core banking systems.
    • Ensure security, audit logging, scalability, and performance of financial data systems.
    • Collaborate with portfolio managers, quantitative analysts, and operations teams.

    Required Experience & Skills
    Technical Skills:

    • Minimum of five (5) years of hands-on backend development experience.
    • Strong expertise in Java and Spring Boot (Spring Data, Spring Security, MVC).
    • Working knowledge of React (Hooks, Components, State Management).
    • Experience with Thymeleaf or server-side templating libraries such as JSP, Mustache, or FreeMarker.
    • Strong understanding of REST APIs, JPA/Hibernate, and SQL databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL).
    • Familiarity with Git, Maven/Gradle, and unit testing frameworks such as JUnit and Mockito.

    Cloud & Infrastructure:

    • Experience with cloud platforms such as Heroku, AWS, or Azure.
    • Familiarity with Kafka, Redis, Docker, and Kubernetes.
    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced but supportive fintech environment.

    Fintech & Regulatory Experience:
    We place strong emphasis on prior experience within fintech and asset management environments. Candidates should have:

    • Working knowledge of Nigerian fintech regulatory requirements, including:
      • CBN digital wallet regulations
      • SEC Nigeria investment product requirements
      • NDPR data protection obligations
      • AML/CFT compliance standards
    • Understanding of financial instruments such as:
      • Equities
      • Fixed income instruments
      • Mutual funds
      • ETFs

    Preferred Industry Experience:
    Ideal candidates should have worked on one or more of the following:

    • Portfolio management systems
    • Investment or wealth management platforms
    • Trading or order management systems
    • Fund accounting or NAV processing engines

    Asset Management Process Knowledge:
    Candidates should also be familiar with:

    • Client onboarding and KYC integration
    • Subscription and redemption workflows
    • Management fee and performance fee structures
    • Corporate actions (dividends, bonuses, share splits)
    • Real-time P&L and portfolio valuation
