    Senior Accountant

    Job Description

    • Will be responsible for accounting and finance and overall operational administration for the PR Office and ensure compliance with the contractual requirements of Nigeria’s programs/projects with the objective of providing professional accountancy services consistent with generally accepted accounting principles.
    • S/He will provide main support with operational problem resolution on HQ Office cash accounts, bank resolutions, finance systems, resolution of audited questioned costs, and financial close outs at the state level.
    • Ensure the accurate keeping of all books of account for the HQ office, including checking account, equipment and supply registers and all accounting records.
    • Also, s/he will monitor/track SRs cash balance and work with the Associate Director-Finance to ensure prompt cash transfer to SRs and State Offices to avoid cash-out, ensure that project and organization assets are safe guarded and that assets registers are regularly updated at SR’s, State Offices and CO levels and oversee capacity building activities and other support to local implementing agencies (IAs) in the focus States.

    Minimum Recruitment Standard

    • BS / BA Degree in Accounting, Finance and Business Administration or its recognized equivalent, and 5 - 7 years relevant experience.
    • Or MS/MA Degree in Accounting, Finance and Business Administration or its recognized equivalent, and 3 - 5 years relevant experience. Minimum of 3 years supervisory experience in office management and administration.
    • CPA, ACA, ICAN, CIMA, CFE or any other relevant professional qualification is required.
    • Experience in managing financial records of donor-funded organizations, and familiarity with donor and local contractual procedures is an advantage.

    Finance & Admin Assistant

    Job Description

    • Will be responsible for the provision of accounting, administrative, and logistical support services to the Project Head Office as well as to the state offices.
    • S/he will prepare monthly financial report forms which accompany executed sub-project documents, prepare monthly reporting/ budgets, enter data into excel spreadsheets and automated MIS reports and disseminate information to project head and state offices.
    • Assist the Accountant to ensure the accurate keeping of all books of account for the project, including checking account, equipment and supply registers and all accounting records.
    • Work with the Accountant to lead the preparation of monthly and annual financial reports, including financial status of sub-projects account activities with accompanying bank documentation and receipts. Assist the Accountant in monitoring sub-project budgets in accordance with approved work plan activities.
    • Assist the Accountant in the maintenance of an efficient records/storage of all office supplies

    Minimum Recruitment Standard

    • University Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business administration.
    • Experience with administrative and secretarial skills.
    • Sound accounting skills.
    • Experience with large complex organization is required, familiarity with international NGOs preferred.

    Technical Officer - Health Systems Strengthening & Capacity Development

    Job Description

    • Will work under the supervision of the STO-HSS to provide support in the planning, implementing, and monitoring of health systems strengthening and laboratory activities.
    • S/he will contribute to AHNi’s provision of technical assistance to AHNi partners and implementing agencies at all levels to develop/review, implement and monitor health systems and laboratory strategies and activities.
    • Assist in providing technical assistance in different health systems strengthening aspects using the six WHO building blocks and a reference guide, support the STO-HSS in collaborating with the relevant federal, State and LGA departments/agencies and other partners to develop innovative technical strategies, tools and systems to strengthen health systems at all levels.
    • Support the development and implementation framework for capacity development for the different departments in the design and implementation of evidence-based health systems policies and practices related to their technical programs and units.

    Minimum Recruitment Standard

    • MBBS / MD / PHD or similar degree with 3 to 5 years post national youth service experience with at least 1 year’s progressive experience in health systems strengthening, health financing, human resource for health management or other related areas.
    • MPH or M.Sc in a related degree with at least 2 to 4 years post national youth service experience with at least 2 years progressive experience in health systems strengthening, health financing, human resource for health management or other related areas.
    • Experience in health systems analysis, health financing (including budgeting and health accounts), human resources for health (including workload analysis), and service delivery required.
    • Familiarity with the Nigerian public sector health system and NGOs and CBOs is highly desirable.

    Program Assistant

    Job Description

    • Will provide programmatic and administrative support to the project Offices.
    • He/she will contribute to the design, planning, budgeting, implementation, monitoring, evaluation and reporting of facility and community-based target driven activities focused on demand creation for uptake of HIV/AIDS services and quality service provision/delivery within the state or LGAs.
    • The successful candidate will ensure adequate and timely activity implementation through periodic work plan review, processing memos, fund requests, monitoring of expenditure and initiating corrective actions to mitigate financial risk to the organization and adherence to donor and organizational policies and guidelines.
    • Maintain program monitoring checklists and budget tracking tools to effectively supervise deliverables and burn rate of community-based target driven activities in the implementation of high-quality HIV/AIDS services at state, cluster and LGA levels; based on approved workplan and facilitate filing of accurate documentation and maintain a database of all ad-hoc staff and program implementation resources.

    Minimum Recruitment Standard

    • BSc / BA in Public Health, Business Administration or Health Sciences with 2-3 years relevant experience with development programs
    • Demonstrated success in multicultural environments is an advantage.
    • Ability to manage tight deadlines and deliver high volumes of work with minimal supervision.

    Senior Finance & Admin Officer

    Job Description

    • Will be responsible for accounting and finance and overall administration for the Project, ensuring compliance with the contractual requirements of the project with the objective of providing professional accountancy services consistent with generally accepted accounting principles.
    • Ensure that financial management and office administration policies and procedures in finance are consistent with those of AHNi and donors. Implement accounting and fiscal control procedures to comply with AHNi and donor policies and procedures.
    • Develop and review operational budgets.
    • Provide oversight of pipeline expenditure projections, manage and review financial functions (check requests, wire transfers, and journal entries), provide direction, oversight, and interpretation of accounting policies and procedures that guide the day- to-day operations of the project.

    Minimum Recruitment Standards

    • B.Sc / B.A Degree in Accounting, Finance and Business Administration or its recognized equivalent with 7 – 9 years relevant experience.
    • Or M.Sc / M.A Degree in Accounting, Finance and Business Administration or its recognized equivalent, and 5 – 7 years relevant experience.
    • Minimum of 3 years supervisory experience in office management and administration.
    • CPA, ACA, ICAN, CIMA, CFE or any other relevant professional qualification is required.
