    IT Officer

    Good afternoon,

    We are a top-rated, indigenous provider of Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Installation (EPCI) services to the Nigerian Oil and Gas Industry. We are seeking to engage passionate and self-driven individuals to fill the position of an IT Officer.

     *Location* : Victoria Island, Lagos.

     *Key Responsibilities* :

    • Ensure smooth functioning of all IT infrastructures such as computer systems, servers,  network connection, etc, and ensure users get maximum support and benefits from them.
    • Ensures that new users' accounts and profiles are properly set up and resolve all password issues.
    • Install, configure, monitor and maintain computer hardware operating systems and applications and networks.
    • Engage staff or clients through a series of actions, either face-to-face or over the phone, to help set up systems or resolve issues.
    • Troubleshoots system and network problems, diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults.
    • Provides support, including procedural documentation and relevant reports.
    • Supports the roll-out and installation of new IT applications and equipment.
    • Responds within agreed time limits to call-outs.
    • Conducts electrical safety checks on computer and other network equipment.
    • Analyse the IT requirements of the company and ensure that they are fulfilled and organize IT the resources of the company accordingly.
    • Evaluating the needs of the company and choosing the most suitable software, hardware, and other IT requirements such as networking.
    • Ensure that all IT requirements of a company are fulfilled.
    • Ensuring security of the physical and virtual components of Information Technology such as security of the server rooms and installing virus protections and firewalls.
    • Organizing data, storing them securely and creating backups.

     
     *Requirements* :

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, ICT or any relative field.
    • Minimum of 2 years’ experience as an IT officer or other related fields.
    • Sound technical knowledge about IT, security of systems and latest developments in the field.
    • Knowledge of systems engineering, computer maintenance server administration, installation, repair, and troubleshooting.
    • Excellent time management, and organization skills.
    • Strong communication skills.
    • Excellent observation and analytical skills.
    • Strong problem-solving skills.

    Accounts Officer

     *Key Responsibilities* :

    • Provide support to the Accountant on daily financial management activities  
    • Assist the Accountant to maintain complete accounting records including completing vouchers, obtaining proper authorizations, and preparing reconciliations  
    • Responsible for daily maintenance of petty cash and replenishment request.
    • Provide support in processing financial transactions and maintaining an effective filing system. • Post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded  
    • Assist the Accountant in ensuring proper tracking of project advances to staff.
    • Provide support in the preparation of financial reports/reconciliations.
    • Follow-up on receivable invoices with client, maintain excellent relationship with clients.
    • Act as liaison officer with the banks with which the company holds an account.
    • Maintain accounting controls by following policies and procedures, complying with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements.
    • Prepare, file and remit monthly tax and other statutory returns with relevant authorities.  
    • Perform other accounting related duties as assigned.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting with a minimum of Second Class Upper degree (2:1)  
    • Chartered membership of a recognized Accounting professional body; ACCA, ICAN, CPA will be an added advantage.  
    • 0-2 years’ experience in the construction industry or any other related field.
    • Adequate knowledge of Accounting and corporate finance principles and procedures.
    • Good knowledge and use of Accounting softwares such as Excel, Sage etc
