    Operations Supervisor

    Job Identification: 347

    Accountabilities

    • Liaise with customers, contractors, service providers and distributors regarding terminal operations.
    • Oversee day-to-day terminal operations, activity, work planning, asset management and maintenance
    • Undertake the safe and efficient receipt, storage and loadout of product 
    • Ensure all terminal operations comply with HSSE, quality and engineering standards and legislative requirements
    • Plan and coordinate operational tasks and activity onsite, including minor day-to- day housekeeping and maintenance onsite
    • Supervise product receipt into tanks from vessels. 
    • Supervise truck loading. 
    • Raise truck loading manifest and loading meter tickets.
    • Liaise with the Depot Manager for the release of meter tickets for product evacuation.
    • Ensure quality and quantity actualization.
    • Ensure bulk stock is accounted for. 
    • Prepare daily, weekly and monthly stock reports. 
    • Supervise all loading activities and personnel (Operations Officer and Operations Junior Officers) 
    • Ensure record keeping in compliance with ISO Standards Loading of trucks, vessels and barges.
    • Ensure strict adherence to standard fuel quality practice, efficient depot management and maintenance of HSE policy. 
    • Other assigned responsibilities

    Requirements

    • A University Degree (Preferably in either a Science or Engineering course) 
    • Minimum of 3-5 years of cognate working experience (Post NYSC) in Depot operations in Bulk Storage Company. 
    • Experienced in depot operations with a flair for logistics and distribution Successful experience in receipt, storage and handling of bulk fuel products
    • Familiarity with information technology and common accounting, engineering and maintenance software
    • Understanding of health, safety and environmental legislation and regulations
    • Computer literacy.
    • Good Leadership, negotiation skills, interpersonal skills, 
    • Must be creative and possess an analytical mindset 
    • Must be able to deliver under extreme pressure/stress. 
    • Planning and organizing skills
    • Ability to plan and coordinate multiple tasks, processes, people and projects effectively

    Safety Officer

    Job Identification: 345

    Accountabilities

    • Performs routine facility maintenance including the equipment associated with the building.
    • Assists in performing routine maintenance of all fire apparatus and tools of the department including non-powered tools such as axes pike poles, ladders, and other
      miscellaneous equipment.
    • Ensure water level in hydrant tank is within safe height 
    • Ensure trucks inside the depot are marshalled properly to avoid accidents.
    • Ensure fire hoses are in good and working condition
    • Ensure fire drills are conducted regularly
    • Ensure the fire alarm is in good and working condition
    • Checking trucks before entry into depot. 
    • Marshalling the trucks inside the depot. 
    • Making sure trucks are properly parked in the depot. 
    • Making sure all trucks are properly earthed before loading 
    • Check routinely all fire appliances. 
    • Check daily the fire pumps for functionality. 
    • Check daily stock and state of firefighting chemicals.
    • Check water stock level daily.
    • Replenish water stock level as necessary. 
    • Conduct regular fire drills. 
    • Ensure fire regulations compliance by all.
    • Check fire alarms and fire hoses regularly. 
    • Lead firefighting in the event of fire.

    Maintenance Supervisor

    Job Identification: 344

    Accountabilities

    • Ensure daily, weekly and monthly checks on all depot equipment to ensure smooth running of operations. 
    • Ensure timely and precise reports on all maintenance activities to line manager. 
    • Monitor the maintenance team to ensure they carry out the duties properly daily. 
    • Ensure all depot equipment is working optimally. 
    • Maintain equipment service records. 
    • Ensure availability of equipment spare parts.
    • Ensure compliance with company HSE policy in the execution of all maintenance activities. 
    • Ensure timely and precise reports on all maintenance activities to the line manager. 
    • Plan and prioritize depot maintenance to ensure no disruption/downtime to loading and discharging activities. 
    • Ensure the cost of maintenance is within the approved budget. 
    • Ensure quality audits from regulatory bodies. 
    • Prompt response to reports on faults of equipment and tools. 
    • Effective negotiation to reduce the cost of equipment maintenance. 
    • Ensure a constant supply of portable water with the facility. 
    • Other responsibilities as assigned

    Requirements

    • Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or relevant field.
    • Relevant professional training and certification is highly desirable.
    • At least 4-6 years post-NYSC work experience in a similar role. 
    • Experienced in installation, servicing and maintenance of Power generator and valves. 
    • Good working knowledge of process line fittings installation, and maintenance. 
    • Good working knowledge on Pumps and Motors and repairs. 
    • Good knowledge of project management. 
    • Good working experience in engine assembly in accordance with engineering drawings.
    • Good working experience in HSE management. 
    • Good working knowledge in maintenance management. 
    • Good working knowledge of Air conditioning servicing. 
    • Diesel Generator installations and maintenance. 
    • AutoCAD (for mechanical Designs and Drafting). 
    • Sound knowledge of Occupational health and safety management 
    • Inventory and stock control.

    QHSSE Supervisor

    Job Identification: 343

    Accountabilities

    • Implement policies and procedures for compliance with QHSSE legislation and best practices and communication with the workforce. 
    • Ensure that monthly hazard/risk assessments are systematically carried out. 
    • Investigate all accidents, incidents and near misses promptly line with Company policy. 
    • Organization of safety induction, safety meeting and training. 
    • Supervise truck inspection before allowing truck in for loading. 
    • Supervise Daily confirmation of product quality in trucks, storage tanks and tank release before loading (i.e. specific gravity, conductivity, particulate matter/sediments).
    • Ensure good housekeeping practices to maintain the laboratory Cleanliness and follow all safety and environmental regulations laboratory to ensure incident-free work.
    • Making sure all firefighting and QHSSE equipment are in serviceable condition. Provide QHSSE Construction and Project support 
    • Coordinating monthly fire and Emergency drills. 
    • Enforces safety and security policies. 
    • Supervises the corporate security guards. 
    • Liaises with the community and statutory bodies on HSSE matters. 
    • Support all QHSSE function as required

    Requirements

    • University Degree in any Applied Sciences course (Industrial Chemistry, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering etc.) 
    • Minimum of 3-5 years cognate working experience (Post NYSC) in similar QA/QC role in the Oil and Gas Industry. Familiarity with ISO 9001, EMS 14001, &
      OHSAS 18001. 
    • Must be Familiar with relevant EI, API, JIG, IP, ASTM test methods and Standards. 
    • Be very meticulous with adherence to product quality check procedures and standards of benchmarking result 
    • Excellent presentation, computing and IT Skills. 
    • Excellent in writing and speaking English. 
    • Familiar with General Quality Assurance regulations. 
    • Excellent interpersonal and business communication skills across all levels

    • Minimum of 5-8 years of cognate working experience (Post NYSC) in Depot operations in Bulk Storage Company. 
    • Experienced in depot operations with a flair for logistics.
    • Successful experience in receipt, storage and handling of bulk LPG products.
    • Practical operational skills that are relevant to plant or terminal operations.
    • Contractor management skills
    • Sound problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and address key issues
    • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle a number of tasks at the same time
    • Excellent relationship management and interpersonal skills.
