• Our Company is looking for dynamic person(s) to fill the position of Business Support Officer (Underwriter) at our Head Office, Abuja

Job Duties / Responsibilities

• Identify prospective clients both Corporate/individual groups and take steps to provide their needs profitably.
• Review Company’s product/services by carrying out marketing research of the Company’s product to determine the competitive nature of the products in the market.
• Develop rapport with the existing clientele and provide support that will continually improve the relationship.
• Grow and retain existing accounts by presenting new solutions/services to the potential clients.
• Maintain detailed information about Clients in the network.
• Gathering information from clients, assessing their insurance needs and risk profile.
• Drafting of Contract papers for prospective Healthcare providers as deemed fit.
• Carry out Actuarial calculations as the need may arise.

Qualifications/ Requirements
A successful candidate must have:

• A Bachelor`s Degree or HND in Business Admin. or other related fields.
• Work experience with an HMO will be an advantage
• At least Post NYSC experience should be 3 years minimum.

Skills / Abilities:
Qualified candidates must have:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Organizational and managerial skills.
• Knowledge of computer operations.
• Efficient customer relations and retention skills.
• Ability to take initiative with strong analytical and problem solving skills.

Job Duties/Responsibilities

• Underwriting existing policies for profitability and continuity purposes.
• Creates Policy wording and document in line with NHIS stipulations for each client.
• Approves new client for Health Insurance after considerable risk assessment.
• Development of new product in line with NHIS guidelines.
• Gathering information from clients, assessing their insurance needs and risk profile.
• Drafting of Contract papers for prospective Healthcare providers as deemed fit.
• Carry out Actuarial calculations as the need may arise.

Requirements
A successful candidate must have:

• Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree or HND in Insurance, Actuarial Science or related fields with 3-5 years experience.
• Professional Certificate in CIIN
• Work experience with an HMO will be an advantage
• At least Post NYSC experience should be 5 years minimum.
