Job Summary

• The Panel Beater is responsible for repairing, reshaping, and restoring damaged vehicle body parts to their original condition. The role supports production, rework, and after-sales services by ensuring vehicle body panels meet required quality, safety, and aesthetic standards.

Key Responsibilities

Body Repair & Panel Work

• Assess damaged vehicles and identify repair requirements.
• Repair dents, bends, and damaged panels using appropriate tools and techniques.
• Remove, repair, and replace damaged body parts such as doors, fenders, bonnets, and bumpers.
• Straighten vehicle frames and align body structures where necessary.

Fabrication & Finishing

• Cut, shape, and weld metal panels where required.
• Prepare surfaces for painting by sanding, filling, and smoothing.
• Ensure proper finishing of repaired panels for painting and final assembly.

Production & After-Sales Support

• Support body assembly processes within the production line.
• Carry out rework on defective or damaged units before delivery.
• Assist after-sales teams with accident repairs and body restoration.

Quality Control

• Ensure all repairs meet company quality standards and specifications.
• Inspect completed work for alignment, smoothness, and finish.
• Correct defects before final inspection.

Health, Safety & Environment

• Comply with all company HSE policies and safety procedures.
• Use personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Minimum of SSCE / Trade Test Certificate in Auto Body Repair or related field.
• 3–5 years’ practical experience as a Panel Beater, preferably in automobile manufacturing or workshop environment.
• Good knowledge of vehicle body structures and repair techniques.
• Ability to use panel beating tools and equipment (hammers, dollies, welders, etc.).
• Basic welding and fabrication skills are an added advantage.
• Good attention to detail and workmanship.
• Physical fitness and ability to work in a workshop setting.

Key Responsibilities

Welding Operations

• Perform welding tasks using MIG, TIG, ARC, or gas welding techniques as required.
• Join metal parts and components in line with engineering drawings and specifications.
• Prepare materials for welding by cutting, grinding, and cleaning surfaces.
• Inspect welded joints to ensure strength, alignment, and quality.

Production Support

• Support fabrication and assembly processes within the production line.
• Assist in repair and modification of vehicle bodies, frames, and metal structures.
• Work with other technicians and engineers to achieve production targets.

Quality Control

• Ensure all welds meet company quality standards and specifications.
• Identify and correct welding defects or irregularities.
• Maintain accuracy in measurements and alignment.

Equipment Maintenance

• Operate and maintain welding machines and tools.

• The Mechanical Design Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and improving vehicle components, systems, and structures in line with engineering standards and company requirements. The role supports product development, prototyping, testing, and continuous improvement of automobile designs to enhance performance, safety, and manufacturability.

Key Responsibilities

Design & Development

• Design mechanical components and systems for vehicles including chassis, body structures, suspension systems, and assemblies.
• Develop detailed engineering drawings and 3D models using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA).
• Conduct design calculations, simulations, and feasibility studies.
• Support prototype development and testing of new designs.

Product Improvement & Innovation

• Analyze existing vehicle designs and recommend improvements for performance, cost, and durability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions.
• Support design modifications based on production feedback and field performance.

Production Support

• Work closely with production and fabrication teams to ensure design feasibility and manufacturability.

• Participate in design reviews and validation processes.

Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain records of drawings, revisions, and project files.

Requirements & Qualifications

• B.Sc./HND in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum of 3–6 years’ experience in mechanical design, preferably in automobile or manufacturing industry.
• Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or CATIA.
• Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
• Experience with design analysis tools (FEA) is an added advantage.
• Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
