Job Description

• A School Bus Driver is in charge of s providing safe transport for school children based on a schedule and route.
• Their duties include:
  • Helping students board the bus,
  • Learning which students take their route and planning around traffic during trips.

Job Responsibilities

• Transport children and other passengers to and from school.
• Obey all traffic laws
• Maintain a clean and mechanically sound bus at all times
• Ensure the safety of all students
• Assist students with getting on and off the bus as needed
• Perform inspections of the bus before and after each route
• Attend safety meetings as required

Qualifications

• Interested candidates should possess an SSCE qualification with 5 years work experience.
• Valid driver’s license
• Five or more years of relevant experience preferably working with children preferred
• Clean driving record with no at-fault accidents or traffic citations within the last five years
• Ability to carry out assigned route on time
• Knowledge of local routes
• Strong understanding of traffic laws
• Good communication skills

Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will be expected to:

• Communicate with parents and stakeholders.
• Represent and maintain the school's image and reputation
• Support faculty with training, enrichment, and goal-setting
• Complete job functions on computers using online communications, spreadsheets, word processors, and other automated tools.
• Supervise care of the facility.
• Prepare for the upcoming school year during the holiday

Qualifications

• B.Sc / HND in any field with a minimum of 2 years experience on the same role.
