    Head, Treasury

    To lead and manage the Group’s treasury function, ensuring optimal liquidity, funding, cash flow visibility, and financial risk management across all EPCIC operations. The role is responsible for safeguarding financial assets, optimizing capital structure, and supporting project execution through effective treasury planning and controls.

    Job Details

    Treasury Strategy & Governance

    • Develop and implement Group treasury strategy aligned with corporate objectives.
    • Establish treasury policies, controls, and governance frameworks across all entities.
    • Drive centralization of treasury operations where applicable (cash pooling, payment controls).

    Cash Flow & Liquidity Management

    • Oversee Group cash flow planning, forecasting, and monitoring.
    • Ensure adequate liquidity to meet operational and project funding requirements.
    • Optimize working capital across projects and business units.

    Project Financing & Funding

    • Structure and secure funding for EPCIC projects (bank facilities, project finance, trade finance).
    • Manage relationships with banks, financial institutions, and lenders.
    • Support bid and tender processes with financial input on funding strategies.

    Banking & Relationship Management

    • Manage banking structure, accounts, and signatories across the Group.
    • Negotiate banking facilities, fees, and service levels.
    • Maintain strong relationships with local and international banks.

    Financial Risk Management

    • Identify and manage financial risks, including FX, interest rate, and liquidity risks.
    • Implement hedging strategies where appropriate.
    • Monitor market trends and advise management on financial exposures.

    Working Capital Optimization

    • Drive initiatives to improve cash conversion cycle (receivables, payables, inventory).
    • Collaborate with Commercial and Project teams on billing, collections, and milestone payments.
    • Monitor contract cash flow profiles and enforce discipline.

    Treasury Operations & Controls

    • Oversee daily treasury operations, including payments, collections, and reconciliations.
    • Ensure strong internal controls, segregation of duties, and fraud prevention mechanisms.
    • Implement and manage treasury management systems (TMS).

    Foreign Exchange & Trade Finance

    • Manage foreign currency exposures and cross-border payments.
    • Oversee trade finance instruments (LCs, guarantees, bonds).
    • Ensure efficient FX sourcing and cost optimization.

     Compliance & Reporting

    • Ensure compliance with financial regulations, banking covenants, and internal policies.
    • Prepare treasury reports for executive management and the Board.
    • Monitor compliance with loan agreements and covenants.

    Team Leadership & Development

    • Lead and develop the Group treasury team.
    • Build treasury capability across business units.
    • Set performance objectives and ensure high standards of execution.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
    • Professional certification (ACA, ACCA, CFA) required; ACT/CIT optional advantage.
    • Minimum of 12–15 years’ experience in treasury or finance, preferably within EPC/EPCIC or oil & gas.
    • Strong experience in project financing and banking relationships.
    • Proven experience managing multi-entity treasury operations.

    Interface & Structured Finance Manager

    The Interface & Structured Finance Manager is the conduit between the company and Africa Export Import Bank (Afrexim), and other institutions of its ilk.

    S/he is accountable for maintaining strong partnerships with these banking institutions and is held responsible for developing and improving a mutually cordial relationship between the company and the bank to achieve optimum performance outcomes.

    Identifying and managing technical and commercial risks related to the scope of work and coordinating closely with planning and technical disciplines.

    Job Details

    • Strategize, prioritize, and coordinate interface with financial institutions in a manner and approach that fosters cordial relationships.
    • Administer and manage the Oilserv Group of Companies role & responsibilities as an Afrexim Intra-African Trade Champion.
    • Exercise comprehension of all the tools available to the Oilserv Group of companies via the Intra-African Trade Initiative Products and Programs.
    • Produce and maintain appropriate, standardized documents and regular reporting to top management and other stakeholders reflecting key issues, resolutions, and performance to enable them to effectively understand risks and impacts on the financing.
    • Review, interpret, design, contribute, and advise on financial models.
    • Assist in the articulation of loan applications in a way that meets the requirements of Afrexim Bank 
    • Establish and maintain relations with relevant stakeholders and organizations that impact and support our corporate goals and business interests.
    • Understand and guide the company on all events of relevant financial Institutions and ensure good representation.
    • Stay abreast of the bank’s offerings, activities, and decisions that may affect the organization and consult with Top management for updates.
    • Gather intelligence on the Financing related to the bank and its partners. 
    • Champion the implementation of directives as approved by the Management and Board.

    Requirements

    • Minimum of First degree in Law, Economics or Finance related study area
    • MBA in related field will be an advantage
    • A minimum of 10 years’ experience in a bank or financial institution
    • Strong people skills are required to forge and maintain relations with internal business units, government entities and private producing and marketing companies alike.
    • Compelling evidence of high level of intelligence, commercial acumen, consistent delivery, able to grasp new concepts very quickly and highly numerate.
    • Relevant Business Development experience along with proven ability to build strong working relationships with key stakeholders and to use this to sell ideas to Stakeholders.
    • Excellent communication and influencing abilities.
    • Ability to challenge the status quo, hunger for getting deals done and generating value.
    • High sense of ownership and accountability for the deal process
