Role Description

• The Data Science Instructor role is a part-time, on-site position based in Ikeja.
• The instructor will deliver engaging data science lessons, including topics such as statistics, machine learning fundamentals, programming for data analysis, and applied AI concepts.
• Day-to-day tasks include preparing lesson plans and instructional materials, teaching classes, supervising practical exercises and projects, assessing learner performance, and providing constructive feedback.
• The role also involves aligning course content with the school’s AI-focused curriculum, supporting learners with mentoring and guidance, and collaborating with the academic team to improve teaching methods and learning outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Strong background in training, with the ability to explain complex data science and AI concepts clearly.
• Proficiency in Mathematics and Statistics relevant to data science, including probability, linear algebra, and data analysis.
• Hands-on experience with data science tools and programming languages (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Python, R, SQL) and common machine learning libraries.
• Ability to design and deliver project-based learning, including real-world data science and AI projects for diverse learners.
• Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with a learner-centered and inclusive teaching approach.

Role Description

• The Full-stack Developer Instructor is a full-time, on-site role based in Ikeja. This role involves designing and delivering curriculum on full-stack web development, including both front-end and back-end technologies, through lectures, demonstrations, and practical labs.
• The instructor will guide learners through projects, review code, provide constructive feedback, and support learners in building robust applications and portfolios.
• Responsibilities include preparing teaching materials, updating course content to reflect industry trends, assessing learner performance, and offering mentoring and career guidance.
• The instructor will collaborate with other faculty and staff to improve teaching methods, contribute to course development, and participate in school events and workshops.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer  Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Strong proficiency in Full-Stack Development, Software and Mobile Development, with hands-on experience building and deploying web applications.
• Solid skills in Front-End Development, including HTML, JavaScript, and Cascading Style Sheets (CSS), with an understanding of responsive and accessible design.
• Experience in Back-End Web Development using modern frameworks, APIs, and databases, with good practices in security, version control, and testing.
• Demonstrated ability to teach, mentor, or train others, with clear communication skills and a structured approach to explaining technical concepts.
• Ability to design and update curriculum, create practical exercises, and evaluate learner progress using fair and transparent assessment methods.
• Comfort working on-site in Ikeja, collaborating with a diverse group of learners and colleagues, and contributing to a supportive learning environment.
