About the Role

• We are looking for an experienced and dependable Heavy Duty Truck Driver to support the pick-up and removal of waste within the locality

Requirements

• Experience: 4-5 years proven experience driving 10ft, 20ft, or 30ft trucks. Experience with waste disposal operations is an advantage
• License: Valid Class C or Class E Driver’s License. Must have a Lagos State Driving Permit
• Knowledge: Good knowledge of Lagos roads, especially within the Lagos-Epe Expressway and Ibeju -Lekki axis.

Skills:

• Clean driving record with no major accidents
• Basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting skills
• Honesty, reliability, and ability to work with minimal supervision
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Physically fit to supervise and manage waste disposal operations. Must pass a drug/alcohol test
• Other: Must reside within the Ibeju-Lekki corridor.

Overview

• The Heavy Duty Maintenance & operations Manager will be responsible for the effective management of the Company's day-to-day operational activities, with particular responsibility for truckmanagement, driver administration, vehicle and asset management, maintenance coordination, logistics, safety and operational efficiency.
• The roleholder also will ensure that company vehicles, drivers, equipment and other operational assets are available, safe, compliant, properly utilized and maintained to support uninterrupted business operations.
• The Operations Manager will also establish effective systems for monitoring vehicle performance, driver behaviour, fuel consumption, maintenance costs, asset utilization and operational risks, while ensuring compliance with applicable regulatory and company requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or HND in Transport Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management or a related discipline.
• 5–8 years' relevant experience in operations, fleet management, logistics, transportation or asset management.
• At least 5years in a supervisory or management role.
• Demonstrable experience managing drivers and vehicle fleets.
• Practical experience in vehicle maintenance coordination.
• Experience managing operational assets and service providers.
• Good knowledge of fleet documentation, vehicle compliance and safety requirements.
