Our client, a leading agricultural firm in Nigeria, is urgently seeking to talent to fill the role of a Farmer’s Market Manager.

Key responsibilities

• On a day-to-day basis, the Farmers Market Manager must coordinate and oversee the running and maintenance of the farm market.
• He/she must supervise the workflow and responsibilities of various departments, hiring, training, and evaluating employees, as well as providing communication between departments.
• He/she will be responsible for the success and profitability of the farmers market, help determine and meet the sales target of the business unit.
• He/she will be responsible for making the Farmers Market a destination for customers through the provision of high quality agricultural products in a friendly and hygienic environment

Person Specification

• B.Sc in Agricultural Science or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in managing a modern farmer’s market.
• Experience in farming will be considered as an added advantage.

Key Responsibilites

• Coordination of the activities of all job functions in his business sub-unit
• Monitoring and analysing the current system of operations across all job functions in his business sub-unit with the view to constantly improving them
• Ensures adherence to all Standard Operating Procedures and policies
• Interacts with all stakeholders effectively
• Receives reports from all units under him, collates and sends/presents to the Chief Executive Officer
• Planning for and controlling change.
• Managing quality assurance programmes.
•  Constantly researching new technologies and alternative methods of efficiency.
• Setting and reviewing budgets and managing cost.
• Overseeing inventory, distribution of goods and facility layout.
•  Facility management

Person Specification

• B.Sc in Agricultural Science or a related discipline.
