    Management Accountant

    Job Description

    • We are seeking a highly qualified and detail-oriented Management Accountant to support the Managing Director in managing day-to-day operations, with a strong focus on management accounting and financial analysis.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports, including variance analysis and commentary for the MD's review
    • Develop and maintain budgeting systems, preparing annual budgets and forecasts for all business units
    • Conduct cost-benefit analyses for proposed business initiatives and provide recommendations to the MD
    • Implement and maintain internal control systems to ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies
    • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs), preparing detailed reports on business performance metrics
    • Support strategic decision-making through financial modeling and scenario analysis
    • Manage the MD's calendar and coordinate high-level meetings with stakeholders
    • Assist in the preparation of board meeting materials, including financial presentations and performance reports
    • Lead the preparation of cost analysis for new product lines and distribution routes
    • Monitor cash flow and working capital management, providing regular updates to the MD
    • Analyze operational efficiency and suggest process improvements based on financial data
    • Coordinate with external auditors and tax consultants as needed
    • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and changes in accounting regulations

    Required Qualifications

    • Bachelor's Degree in Economics, Mathematics, or Statistics
    • Must possess Associate Chartered Accountant (ACA) certification
    • Age: Not more than 35 years
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
    • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion
    • Membership in the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) is an added advantage
