Job Summary
Responsible for managing the organization’s financial accounting and reporting functions, preparation of all financial reports for management and to manage statutory reporting, treasury management.
Key Responsibilities
Month End Financial Reporting Activities:
- Preparation of monthly Management accounts to include Statement of Financial Position, Statement of Profit or Loss & other Comprehensive, Statement of Cashflow, notes to financial statements, supporting schedules, and other relevant financial reports.
- summarize and interpret current and projected company financial position, on a timely basis in line with published monthly financial schedules.
- Maintenance of General Ledgers ranging from Posting of month end Journals, GL reviews to detailing assets and liabilities.
- Ensures all transactions are appropriately captured /maintained in relevant databases.
- Constant review of the expense, revenue and other components of the annual budget to determine the accurate financial position of the organization at all times and for recommending suitable actions.
- Constant reviews of the fixed assets register to ensure that entries are accurate and up to date.
Expense/payables:
- Ensure that payments are made to and/or on behalf of clients, suppliers and other third parties on a timely basis and in accordance with the applicable Service Level Agreement.
- Transaction Processing: Ensure that all transactions for the company and on behalf of clients are properly processed and captured in the appropriate accounting codes
Bank/Intercompany Reconciliation:
- Review all reconciliations of general ledger accounts to applicable sub ledgers, and all intercompany accounts reconciliations.
- Prepare monthly bank account reconciliations for applicable accounts and ensure that all reconciling items are promptly cleared.
- Supervise and coordinate all banking activities including prompt banking of all cheques and ensuring that the appropriate cash (local & foreign) is available to meet the company’s needs.
- Coordinate the opening of bank accounts as required.
Statutory Remittance:
- Remit all statutory payroll deductions (PAYE and pensions) to the appropriate authorities within the stipulated timeframe
- Ensure the correct treatment of withholding tax and VAT in the accounts and ensure the prompt remittance to the appropriate authorities to avoid any penalties. Ensure corporate income tax compliance. Dealing with all matters relating to tax queries and audits
Budget and Forecasting:
- Support Annual Budget Preparation: Participate in the preparation of annual financial and operating budgets, including supporting documentation and justification.
- Provides a suitable framework for effective budget monitoring and reporting i.e. variance between actual and projected performance (income and expenditure).
Working capital management:
- Daily monitoring of Working capital account, cash management, receivable monitoring and vendor settlement management.
- Responsible for partnering with the investment department in the investment of company funds.
Regulatory reporting:
- Ensuring prompt preparation& filling of periodic regulatory reports to SEC and other relevant authorities.

Responsible for providing overall strategic leadership to the organization’s finance function through the delivery of strategic financial management and financial operations reporting capabilities that allow the organization to achieve optimal business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Business Advisory:
- Provide advisory services to the Board of the ARM Group, Executive Management, and Subsidiary Executives on the interrelationships between the group’s /subsidiaries’ current and future business priorities, and its financial position.
Balance Sheet Management:
- Identify, recommend, and implement optimal balance sheet structure for all Traditional Asset Management (TAM) subsidiaries, in compliance with internal balance sheet ratios, and regulatory requirements, and monitor effectiveness of balance sheet management strategies.
Transactional Accounting:
- Designs and provides advisory on the design and function of the organization’s chart of accounts, as well as frameworks, and guidelines, on accounting operations.
Financial Reporting:

Tax Management and compliance:
- Design and implement taxation framework, standards, and guidelines for both the Holding Company and TAM subsidiaries, in line with current and projected statutory provisions on taxation, and ensures the organization is in complete adherence to best practices in tax management.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Drive enterprise-wide budgeting and forecasting efforts with the aim of providing the organization with a comprehensive financial plan for achieving its financial and operational goals and provides critical inputs to the process. The Position Holder is also responsible for providing unique insights and advisory on market factors, industry trends and other cost drivers that could impact budget performance.
Cost Management:
- Lead strategic cost management across the organization, through the deployment of waste elimination efforts, and the implementation of activity-based costing measures.
Risk and Compliance Management:
- Ensures adherence of the organization to regulatory provisions in respect to its internal accounting processes, records, and reporting.
Corporate Performance Management:
- Responsible for driving the implementation and continuous improvement of management information systems that allow for online, real-time monitoring and management of the organization’s performance

Job Summary
The Job holder will be responsible for managing the financial performance management/monitoring process in ARM and providing ARM leadership management requisite information to support decision making and improved performance. The position will also work to facilitate strategic planning through preparation of financial forecasts based on ARM’s business strategy, over-all management, co-ordination and preparation of the annual budget and periodic revised forecasts through analysis, review and preparation of periodic financial reports
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in setting ARM finance group strategy and objectives
- Preparation of forecasts and translating them into meaningful financial information such as profitability, balance sheet growth, growth impacts, capital and funding requirements
- Preparation of key macro and micro assumptions for input into the planning and budgeting process
- Overall management, co-ordination and preparation of the annual business plan, capital expenditure, operating budget and periodic revised forecasts
- Develop and implement reporting of key management information (MI) ensuring data integrity and timely communication to relevant stakeholders
- Develop performance benchmarks for business units and monitor performance against these
- Drive the required business analysis and related process for making recommendations for new or improving performance opportunities
