Qualifications, Skills And Requirements

• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in DevOps/Automation or related roles.
• Proven ability to take ownership of projects
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment
• Any experience teaching/training people is a plus
• Experience with building infrastructure using Cloudformation
• Experience working with Version Control in AWS (Code build, code commit, code pipeline
• Experience writing Bash scripts
• Experience working with AWS services for deploying Docker applications.
• Experience in building CI/CD pipelines

Responsibilities

• Teach detailed educational course content around DevOps and Automation
• Set learning objectives and determine criteria for evaluation,
• Create engaging training course content (such as code examples, quizzes and activities)
• Provide manuals and guidelines on how to use training materials
• Follow up with trainees and instructors after each course and collect feedback

• You should have the ability to communicate effectively with teams and project coordinators.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS 

• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in Data Engineering or related roles.
• Ability to communicate effectively with teams and project coordinators.
• Proven ability to take ownership of projects.
• Ability to work in fast paced environment.
• Any experience teaching/training people is an added advantage.
• Experience with using AWS services like S3, Redshift, Lambda, Glue, Step Functions, etc.
• Expert experience in Python.
• Experience working with distributed systems.
• Experience with CICD pipelines
• Experience working with Docker 

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Create engaging training course content (such as code examples, quizzes and activities).

• Organize additional resources for instructors and trainees.

Job Description

• Data2Bots; an IT consulting company is looking to engage a qualified Data Engineer to join our talent pipeline team.
• The Data Engineer will receive mentorship, rigorous and intensive up-skilling training, work on on-going projects, build data pipelines, and create fit-for-purpose datasets.
• After successful completion of the up-skilling program you will be relocated to the Netherlands to work as a Data Engineer Consultants

PROFILE 

• A bachelor’s degree in computer science, an engineering discipline or other related courses
• At least 4 years of professional IT industry experience excluding internship and freelance
• At least 4 years of software engineering experience
• At least 2 years of cloud computing experience, most preferably Azure. 

TECHNICAL SKILLS

• Proficiency in ETL development using Python, SQL and Data Factory.
• Hands-on experience with Python data processing frameworks such as PySpark or Pandas.
• Good Knowledge of Software Development Standards and best practices such as Test Driven Development (TDD), Keep it simple, stupid (KISS), you aren't gonna need it (YAGNI), and don't repeat yourself (DRY).
• Hands-on experience with DevOps, CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code.
• Knowledge of Data Warehousing Concepts and Data Warehouse Modeling.
• Experience working with at least one Cloud Data Warehouse Solution such as Azure Synapse.
• Experience with data flow orchestration tools such as Azure Logic Apps is an advantage.
• Experience with distributed computing and container orchestration (Kubernetes) is an advantage.
• Experience with data streaming solutions such as Kafka is an advantage.
• Experience with Microservices and Event-Driven architecture is an advantage.

SOFT SKILLS

• Good understanding of Agile Methodology and Scrum Rituals.
• Ability to work independently, think proactively and pay attention to details.
• Seeing through a data engineering project from conception to finished product.
• Able to adapt to a fast-paced technical environment.
• Energetic, motivated and team player.
• Excellent communication skills in English – both written and spoken.
• Ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and business stakeholders.
