    Deputy Financial Controller

    Location: Gboko Plant, Gboko Plant, Nigeria

    Company: Dangote Industries Limited

    Responsibilities:

    • Oversee the plant’s budgeting and reporting; financial analysis and forecasting; cost and revenue management; and fixed asset accounting.
    • Ensure accuracy of the plant’s financial records and compliance with best practice financial management principles and regulatory requirements
    • Drive the implementation of approved finance policies at the plant.
    • Drive and oversee the budgeting process and ensure input from all business units within the plant comply with stated guidelines and that exceptions are escalated appropriately.
    • Ensure timely and accurate preparation of periodic management reports at the Plant to aid management decision-making.
    • Ensure ongoing review, update, and documentation of monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial forecasts and ratio analysis.
    • Ensure collaboration/interface with other departments within the plant on financial assessment of projects, business models, and business plans.
    • Oversee the preparation of financial reports, ensuring compliance with DCP Nigeria’s accounting policies and IFRS.
    • Assume overall responsibility for the integration of business reporting requirements, the integrity of information contained in, and the compliance of the plant’s financial report with relevant reporting regulations.
    • Ensure effective utilization of the plant’s financial resources to achieve cost efficiency.
    • Proactively identify risks and define and implement strategies to prevent revenue leakage.
    • Ensure that organizational policies with respect to accounting for fixed assets are adhered to at all times.
    • Ensure the respective plant complies with all applicable tax laws and statutory requirements.
    • Manage and maintain relationships with relevant internal and external stakeholders, including local and international tax authorities, tax consultants, etc.
    • Coordinate the preparation of the department’s budget and approve departmental in line with approved authority limits.
    • Provide overall guidance, leadership support, and strategic direction in the execution of the department’s functions and activities.
    • Prepare and submit periodic activity/management reports to the Head of Finance on the activities of the department.

    Key Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional qualifications such as ICAN, ACCA, or equivalent are typically required.
    • Experience in the manufacturing sector, ideally in a senior role or plant Finance manager, is required.
    • Proficient in IFRS, Financial modelling, and ERP systems (SAP), and strong leadership capability.

    Finance Officer - Inbound Logistics

    Job Summary 

    We are looking for a passionate and professional Finance Officer to join our Inbound Logistics team and assist in the sorting out of vendor invoices and processing of customs duty payments. 

    Key Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Collecting and sorting vendor invoices and processing customs duty payments. 
    • Reconciliation of the statement of accounts with shipping and terminal companies.

    • Good knowledge and understanding of finance best practices, IFRS, and other applicable accounting standards

    Forklift Operator

    Job Purpose:

    To safely and efficiently operate industrial forklifts to load, unload, and move materials within the factory, warehouse, and loading bays. This role ensures that the production line (Extruders and Looms) remains supplied and that finished goods are ready for dispatch to customers.

    Duties & Responsibilities:

    Material Handling & Production Support:

    • Raw Material Feeding: Transporting heavy bags of Polypropylene (PP) resin, calcium carbonate, and color masterbatches from the raw material store to the Extrusion department.
    • In-Process Movement: Moving large "beams" or rolls of woven fabric from the Circular Loom department to the Finishing/Lamination department.
    • Finished Goods Palletizing: Moving compressed bales or pallets of finished woven sacks bags to the designated storage area.

    Loading & Unloading:

    • Unloading incoming raw materials from delivery trucks and stacking them safely in the warehouse.
    • Loading finished sacks onto outgoing trucks/containers for distribution.

    Equipment Maintenance & Safety:

    • Pre-shift Inspection: Conducting daily checks on the forklift (fuel levels, battery, hydraulic fluid, brakes, and tires) and reporting faults to the maintenance team.

    • Safe Navigation: Maneuvering the forklift safely through narrow aisles and around factory floor workers to prevent accidents.

    • Stacking Integrity: Ensuring pallets are stacked at a safe height and in a stable manner to prevent collapsing.

    Job Requirements:

    Required Skills and Qualifications

    • Certification: A valid Forklift Operator Certificate/License is mandatory.
    • Education: Minimum of O’Level (WAEC/NECO). Trade Test certifications are an added advantage.
    • Experience: At least 3–5 years of experience operating a forklift in a busy manufacturing or warehouse environment (experience specifically in a plastics or sack factory is highly preferred).
    • Technical Knowledge: Ability to operate both Diesel and Electric forklifts. Basic understanding of forklift mechanics for minor troubleshooting.
    • Physical Fitness: Ability to work in a factory environment that may be dusty (due to resin) and noisy.

    Competence

    • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
    • Ability to manage high-volume production under tight deadlines.
    • Strong communication skills.
