We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Inventory Officer to manage and maintain accurate inventory records within our manufacturing and warehousing operations. The role involves overseeing stock levels, ensuring efficient inventory control processes, and coordinating with production, procurement, and logistics teams to optimize stock management.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain accurate stock levels by conducting regular cycle counts, audits, and reconciliations.
Monitor and manage inventory levels to prevent overstocking or stockouts.
Prepare daily inventory reports showing summary of receivables and releases including opening quantity & closing balance, stock variance and any other required documentation to track inventory performance.
Regular stock audits, and reconciliation to minimize discrepancies and improve accuracy.
Verify and record incoming and outgoing stock, ensuring proper documentation and compliance with company procedures.
Update inventory records in ERP systems or inventory management software, ensuring data accuracy.
Work closely with procurement, production, and sales teams to align inventory with business needs.
Implement measures to minimize damages, and losses while ensuring adherence to safety and compliance standards.
Generate inventory reports, highlighting trends, discrepancies, and areas for improvement.
Liaise with suppliers and logistics providers to ensure timely deliveries and dispatches.
Ensure compliance with organization policies, safety standards and regulatory requirements related to inventory management.
Identify opportunities for process improvement to enhance overall warehouse operations.
To ensure proper reconciliation of physical stock with the stock in the system.
Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
2+ years of experience in inventory management, warehousing, or a related field within a manufacturing environment.
Proficiency in inventory management software (e.g., SAP or similar ERP systems).
Strong mathematical and analytical skills with an attention to detail.
Good understanding of inventory control principles, stock rotation, and warehouse best practices.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Proficiency in using inventory management software and Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, power point ).
Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
