Our client, a leading financial institution in Nigeria, is hiring a Relationship Manager to drive retail banking growth within the Victoria Island/Lekki/Ajah axis.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for acquiring new customers, managing existing client relationships, growing deposits, promoting retail banking products and meeting assigned business targets
Key Responsibilities
Acquire new customers and grow the bank's retail customer base.
Build and maintain strong relationships with customers.
Promote and sell retail banking products and services.
Meet monthly and quarterly sales targets, including customer acquisition, deposit mobilization, product cross-selling, and portfolio growth.
Assess customer needs and recommend suitable banking solutions across savings, current accounts, loans, cards, and other retail products.
Ensure all customer accounts and transactions comply with KYC, internal policy, and regulatory requirements.
Provide regular market intelligence and customer feedback to support business growth and service improvement.
Resolve customer enquiries and complaints promptly.
Maintain accurate customer and sales records.
Manage assigned customer portfolios, identify growth opportunities, and follow up on leads to convert prospects into active customers.
Work closely with internal teams to deliver excellent customer service.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree or HND in Business Administration, Banking and Finance, Economics, Marketing, or a related field.
3–5 years' experience in retail banking or relationship management.
Proven ability to achieve sales targets.
Good knowledge of retail banking products, customer onboarding, KYC documentation and compliance requirements.
Strong communication, negotiation, prospecting, sales and customer service skills.
Ability to manage client portfolios, generate leads and convert prospects into long-term customers.
Must be self-motivated and able to work independently.
Applicants residing within the Victoria Island/Lekki/Ajah axis have an added advantage.

Outstanding First Degree with a minimum of second class upper.
ACCA, ACA, and/or CFA certification.
Minimum of 8 years of experience in finance and strategy roles, gained within a Big Four accounting firm, reputable financial services group, bank, or multinational organization.
Demonstrated experience engaging with executive and board-level stakeholders, as well as regulators and investors.
Eligibility to work in Nigeria.
