    Executive Director – Technical

    Job Summary

    • The Executive Director – Technical will provide strategic leadership and oversight for all technical operations of the company, including manufacturing, engineering, quality systems, research and development support, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence.
    • The ideal candidate must possess strong pharmaceutical industry knowledge, leadership capacity, and extensive experience in technical and manufacturing operations.
    • The candidate will act as a vital liaison between technical teams and the Board of Directors.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Provide strategic direction for all technical and manufacturing operations
    • Oversee production, engineering, maintenance, validation, and technical services
    • Ensure compliance with global regulatory requirements (FDA, EMA) and maintain high-quality standards including GMP
    • Drive operational efficiency, process optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives
    • Lead technical project execution, plant expansion, and equipment qualification activities
    • Collaborate with Quality Assurance, Regulatory Affairs, Supply Chain, and Production departments
    • Develop and implement technical policies, SOPs, and operational strategies
    • Ensure effective resource planning, budgeting, cost management and maintain external relationships with CROs and CDMOs.
    • Mentor and lead multidisciplinary technical teams to achieve organizational goals.

    Qualifications and Experience

    • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Industrial/Analytical Chemistry, or related Life Science discipline.
    • A Master’s degree or PhD will be an added advantage
    • 25 - 30 years relevant experience within the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry and at least 10 - 15 years in senior management or leadership role
    • Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical manufacturing operations, GMP, validation, and regulatory requirements
    • Proven experience in technical operations, process development, engineering systems, regulatory compliance and fillings (NDA/BLA/MAA), late-stage drug development, and CMC (Chemistry, Manufacturing, and Controls)
    • Membership of relevant professional bodies is an added advantage

    • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making ability
    • Strong communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills for engaging with stakeholders and motivating teams
    • Project management and budgeting expertise
    • High level of integrity and professionalism
    • Deep understanding of global standards, including ICH/GCP guidelines and FDA/EMA regulations
    • Expert knowledge in API (Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient) development and manufacturing

    Finance Manager

    Job Summary

    • To lead financial planning, control, reporting, and risk management. ensuring strong financial performance, compliance, and alignment with corporate strategy.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
    • Develop and manage  budgets, forecasts, and financial models
    • Track performance vs. budget and provide variance analysis
    • Support strategic decision-making through insights and recommendations
    • Financial Reporting
    • Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting
    • Ensure accuracy and compliance with IFRS and company policies
    • Consolidate financial across factory plants and  Cost Control & Efficiency
    • Monitor production and operating costs in the factory 
    • Drive cost optimization initiatives and analyze cost drivers (energy, logistics, raw materials) and recommendation for management decision.
    • Compliance & Internal Controls, Strengthen internal controls and audit processes, Ensure compliance with tax laws, regulatory requirements, and internal policies
    • Manage relationships with auditors (internal & external)
    • Cash Flow &Treasury Oversight like overdraft management
    • Monitor working capital (inventory, receivables, payables)
    • Management of international finance of letter of credit and other mean of international payment.
    • Report directly to Executive Director – Finance, Admin and corporate services

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or other related field
    • Minimum of five years post professional qualification in Accounting 
    • Professional certification required: ACA / ACCA / CIMA
    • Experience in Pharmaceutical manufacturing industry will be of added advantage
    • Computer literate in accounting packages and other related software.
    • Knowledge on international trade and finance
    • Excellent Knowledge of Nigeria Tax law.
