Job Description

• Provide sound, professional database advice, administration and proactive maintenance of the company data and database environments.
• Support the process for database architecture, installation, configuration, and management, while ensuring prompt and thorough backup, recovery, replication, and high availability.
• Perform optimization, including the writing of query, indexing, and optimization techniques to ensure efficient data retrieval and manipulation.
• Carry out database design, data modeling, and normalization to ensure scalable and performant database structures.
• Monitor, analyze, and optimize database performance, troubleshoot issues, and resolve problems related to query performance, indexing, and resource utilization.
• Set up procedures to monitor all database environments and ensure a minimum of 99.9% uptime.
• Work with the team to resolve issues and escalate extreme cases to the appropriate OEMs.
• Recommend new database and data architecture which would yield cost saving and enable increased growth of the revenue of the organization.
• Ensure periodic security checks on the database systems to prevent fraud and expose any compromise attempt noticed on the database.
• Ensure and test performance level on the databases and ensure compliance with data protection regulations and industry best practices.
• Plan Business Continuity operations and Disaster Recovery Operations to meet the required RTO and RPO as defined by the organization.
• Manage and maintain databases, ensuring high availability, performance, and security.
• Design and implement backup, recovery, and disaster recovery plans, and optimize server databases for efficiency and scalability.
• Troubleshoot database issues and implement long-term solutions; maintain database documentation, procedures, and governance policies.
• Collaborate with development teams to improve database architecture and optimize queries.
• Monitor disk usage, system performance, and capacity planning; update and maintain repositories with database-related code and scripts.

Requirements

• B.Sc in Computer Science, Information Technology or any related discipline.
• 3+ years’ experience in Database Administration or a related data role, preferably within the financial services, technology or fintech industry.
• Experienced in SSMS, TOAD, Jupyter, Anaconda and other data related tools.
• Microsoft Certified Professional or Oracle Certified Professional (i.e., Any RDBMS certified professional certification).
• Experience in leading a team of database administrators, with problem-solving and analytical skills, with a strong willingness to learn new technologies.
• Passionate about Data and Databases with strong data interpretation skills.
• Structured Query Language skills (SQL), Procedural SQL, TSQL Programming; Python Programming, Excel Skills, and Bash Scripting.
• Familiarity with cloud database technologies (Azure SQL, AWS RDS, or Google Cloud SQL) is a plus.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Strong knowledge of Postgres database architecture, installation, configuration, and management, including backup and recovery, replication, and high availability.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or other highly technical, scientific discipline with at least 2 years' experience as a Site Reliability Engineer, DevOps Engineer, and/or Application Administrator.
• Ability to program with one or more high level languages, such as Python, Java, C/C++, Ruby, and JavaScript.
• Experience with distributed storage technologies like NFS, HDFS, Ceph, S3 as well as dynamic resource management frameworks (Mesos, Kubernetes, Yarn).
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps) and version control systems.
• Experience with cloud computing technologies such as AWS, Azure and GCP, and experience with basic database management, Linux and Windows Server OS.
• Proficiency in scripting/automation (Python, Bash, or similar) and familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with monitoring tools such as AWS CloudWatch, Grafana, ELK, New Relic and with 24/7 shift-based structures.
• A proactive approach to spotting problems, areas for improvement, and performance bottlenecks.
• An analytical/problem solving mindset, with good communication and collaboration skills, and experience in automation, system reliability, and continuous improvement.
• Good knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and modern infrastructure practices, with relevant certifications in any of the platforms.

Job Description

• Lead and drive product development through the scrum teams; writing user stories, prioritizing backlogs, coordinating release activities,
  and supporting sprint ceremonies. 
• Track the progress towards the release of a feature or set of features / enhancements on Qore or its ancillary products and services. 
• Manage the product roadmap for Qore and its ancillary product and services, including defining, revising, specifying, and prioritizing the key features and / or enhancements to deliver market leading functionality for clients. 
• Manage the product backlog and ensure that it is appropriately prioritized to achieve maximum business and client value. 
• Ensure client facing assets (e.g., documentation, developer sites, contracts) are maintained, improved, and updated as new features are developed. 
• Collaborate with the wider team to refine features and develop appropriate stories for development. 
• Assess the impact of new features on all aspects of the overall Product Operating Model including legal, data protection, sales, technical pre-sales, client on-boarding, client support, all documentation. 
• Conduct both qualitative and quantitative research to develop a deep understanding of our consumers, their needs, and opportunities for product development.

Requirements

• BSc in any discipline from an accredited and reputable institution. UI/UX design skills and experience will be an added advantage.
• 5+ years' experience in B2B product development and / or product management, with specific knowledge and good understanding of any of the following: core banking, digital lending, merchant services/agency banking, and card issuance solutions will be a plus. 
• Working knowledge and experience in agile product development and methodologies and experience working with a squad using product frameworks, lean methodologies and design thinking.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, presentation & negotiation skills with passion for creating a delightful experience for our clients/partners. 
• Proficiency in product management tools such as JIRA, Adobe Analytics, etc., and solid understanding of the product management lifecycle.
• Ability to influence, persuade and successfully interact with all levels of clients and internal stakeholders. 
• Relevant professional certifications in Product Management/Project Management, such as AIPMM, will be a plus.
• Ability to work in a fluid, fast-paced and ever-changing environment with deep experience in collaborating effectively across an organization with internal colleagues and third parties. 
• Experience in the fintech, banking, payments, and/or other related fintech sector will be preferred.
