    Senior Technical Advisor - Oil & Gas

    Responsibilities

    • The successful candidate will act as a trusted technical and strategic advisor to senior commercial leadership, providing independent expertise and challenge across refinery economics, planning, scheduling, optimization and commercial performance.
    • This opportunity is particularly suited to a highly experienced refining and commercial professional seeking a high-impact advisory position where decades of industry expertise can directly influence strategic and commercial decisions.

    Strategic & Executive Advisory:

    • Act as a trusted technical advisor to senior commercial leadership on refinery economics, planning, scheduling and optimization.
    • Provide an independent technical perspective on major commercial and operational decisions.
    • Review and challenge key assumptions, analyses and recommendations produced by the existing EPS organization.
    • Translate refinery operating constraints and opportunities into actionable commercial recommendations.
    • Support executive decision-making through robust economic and commercial analysis.
    • Provide independent challenge while preserving the accountability and responsibilities of the existing EPS management structure.

    Refinery Economics & Optimization:

    • Review refinery economics and validate the assumptions underpinning commercial decisions.
    • Review Linear Programming (LP) optimization outputs and challenge recommendations where appropriate.
    • Assess refinery margins, profitability and margin-enhancement opportunities.
    • Review crude selection economics and crude assay evaluations.
    • Identify opportunities to optimize product yields and refinery operating modes.
    • Evaluate trade-offs between crude supply, refinery configuration, production yields, inventory and market opportunities.
    • Recommend initiatives aimed at maximizing refinery and commercial performance.

    Planning & Scheduling Oversight:

    • Provide senior-level review of short-, medium- and longer-term refinery production plans.
    • Assess the operational and economic feasibility of planning assumptions.
    • Ensure alignment between refinery planning and broader commercial strategy.
    • Review scheduling constraints and identify potential bottlenecks affecting commercial performance.
    • Assess the commercial impact of shutdowns, turnarounds and changes in refinery operating conditions.
    • Strengthen planning governance and decision-support frameworks.

    Commercial Performance & Decision Support:

    • Provide technical and commercial advice on crude supply and refinery operating risks.
    • Support inventory optimization and working-capital efficiency.
    • Identify opportunities for margin protection and enhancement.
    • Assess potential impacts of market disruptions on refinery economics and operating decisions.
    • Support supply and commercial optimization initiatives.
    • Contribute to continuous improvement of commercial performance across the organization.

    Capability Development:

    • Act as a senior technical mentor to the existing EPS leadership and specialist teams.
    • Strengthen internal capabilities in refinery economics, planning, scheduling and optimization.
    • Introduce relevant international best practices and world-class planning methodologies.
    • Improve analytical capabilities and economic decision-making frameworks.
    • Support the development of a strong internal pipeline of EPS expertise.
    • Encourage knowledge transfer across the broader commercial organization.

    Desired Skills and Experience
    The successful candidate should demonstrate deep expertise across several of the following areas:

    • Minimum of 20 years of senior-level experience within downstream refining, with ideally 20–30 years of overall industry experience.
    • Extensive experience within integrated refining and commercial organizations.
    • At least 10 years of significant leadership or senior technical responsibility across one or several of the following areas:
      • Refinery Economics
      • Refinery Planning
      • Scheduling
      • Linear Programming (LP) Optimization
      • Supply Optimization

    Commercial Optimization:

    • Significant exposure to large, complex and internationally operated refineries.
    • Experience within major international oil & gas, integrated energy, refining or trading organizations would be highly desirable.
    • Strong combination of refining, commercial and ideally trading exposure.
    • Demonstrated ability to connect refinery operational realities with commercial and market opportunities.
    • Deep understanding of refinery margin drivers and value optimization.
    • Strong experience advising senior executives and influencing major commercial and operational decisions.
    • International experience and exposure to complex operating environments would be a significant advantage.

    First Officer - Business Aviation

    Job Introduction

    • Adexen has been mandated by one of its clients to recruit an experienced First Officer to join its private aviation operations.

    Responsibilities

    • Working alongside experienced Captains, the successful candidate will support the operation of Bombardier Challenger 604/605 aircraft across domestic and international missions.
    • The role requires strong technical flying capabilities, excellent crew coordination and a commitment to the highest standards of safety, professionalism and confidentiality.
    • The position is based in Nigeria with regular international operations.
    • As First Officer, you will work closely with the Captain to ensure the safe, efficient and professional execution of all assigned flights.

    Your responsibilities will include:

    • Assist the Captain in the safe and efficient operation of all flights.
    • Participate in pre-flight planning, aircraft preparation and operational briefings.
    • Support navigation, radio communications and flight management activities.
    • Participate in flight planning, aircraft performance calculations and preparation of operational documentation.
    • Ensure compliance with applicable aviation regulations, Standard Operating Procedures and internal safety requirements.
    • Monitor aircraft systems and flight parameters throughout operations.

    • Bombardier Challenger 604/605 Type Rating preferred. Candidates willing and eligible to obtain the relevant Type Rating may also be considered.
    • Previous experience within corporate, private or business aviation is preferred.

    Deputy Head of Transport

    Responsibilities

    • The position will be responsible for supporting the strategic leadership and operational management of the Group’s transport and logistics activities across an assigned region, Northern or Southern Nigeria.
    • This is a senior leadership role within a large-scale and complex logistics environment, requiring strong expertise in fleet management, transport operations, cost optimization, operational excellence and people management.
    • Reporting to the Head of Transport, the Deputy Head of Transport will oversee regional transport operations and ensure the safe, reliable and cost-effective movement of raw materials and finished products across plants, depots, terminals and customer locations.

    The responsibilities will include:

    • Support the Head of Transport in implementing the Group’s transport and logistics strategy, policies, standards and operating procedures across the assigned region.
    • Lead and coordinate regional inbound and outbound transport operations, ensuring high levels of safety, reliability and operational performance.
    • Oversee the management and optimization of a large transport fleet operating across multiple locations.
    • Drive fleet productivity through effective route planning, vehicle allocation, turnaround-time improvement and standardized operating methods.
    • Monitor transport KPIs and implement corrective actions to improve fleet utilization, vehicle availability, delivery performance and overall cost efficiency.
    • Ensure the effective utilization, maintenance and availability of transport assets across the region.
    • Develop initiatives to reduce logistics cost per tonne while maintaining high service levels and operational reliability.
    • Ensure full compliance with transport regulations, HSE standards, internal policies and service-level requirements.
    • Manage relationships with transport contractors, third-party logistics providers, regulatory authorities and other key external stakeholders.
    • Support fleet modernization initiatives, including the procurement and deployment of new transport equipment.
    • Drive the adoption of telematics, fleet management systems and other digital logistics solutions to improve visibility and operational control.
    • Work closely with Production, Sales & Marketing, Procurement, Engineering and Supply Chain teams to ensure seamless logistics execution.
    • Develop regional transport risk mitigation and business continuity plans.
    • Lead, coach and develop regional transport management teams, building a strong leadership pipeline and succession capability.
    • Prepare regular operational and performance reports for senior management.

    • A postgraduate qualification in a relevant field would be an advantage.
    • Professional certification in Transport, Logistics or Supply Chain Management, such as CILT, APICS/ASCM, would be desirable.
    • Minimum 15 years of professional experience in transport, logistics or supply chain management.
    • At least 5 years of experience managing large-scale regional transport operations within the manufacturing, cement, mining or another heavy industrial environment.
    • Proven experience managing large vehicle fleets, outsourced logistics providers and complex multi-site transport operations.
    • Strong expertise in fleet optimization, transport planning, vehicle utilization and logistics cost management.
    • Solid understanding of transport HSE standards, regulatory compliance and operational risk management.
    • Experience with transport technologies, telematics and digital fleet management solutions.

    • The successful candidate will operate a Bombardier Challenger 604/605 aircraft and will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of flight safety, operational efficiency and professionalism across domestic and international missions.
    • The position requires an experienced business aviation pilot combining strong technical expertise, sound judgement, flexibility and absolute discretion.
    • The position is based in Nigeria with regular international operations.
    • As Captain and Pilot-in-Command, you will have overall responsibility for the safe and efficient operation of assigned flights.

    Your responsibilities will include:

    • Act as Pilot-in-Command for Challenger 604/605 flight operations.
    • Ensure all flights are conducted safely and in accordance with applicable aviation regulations, approved procedures and operating standards.
    • Carry out comprehensive pre-flight preparation including flight planning, performance calculations, weather assessment and operational risk evaluation.
