    Lead Mechanical Design Engineer

    Role Summary

    • A Lead Engineer within the Services Engineering team must be able to interpret a customer's specification/requirements to produce a practical and cost effective design/solution to meet the design or maintenance requirements.
    • They should ensure that the design is correctly transformed into engineering drawings, Bills of Materials, test procedures and ensure manufacturability of design.

    Essential Responsibilities

    • Interpret customer specifications and identify equipment required to satisfy specifications.
    • Ensure that equipment is designed in accordance with current HSE legislation.
    • Prepare and approve factory acceptance test procedures, Operational & Maintenance procedures and inspection/ test reports.
    • Undertake design verification, which may include but not limited to: risk analysis, failure analysis, Fault Tree Analysis, Design Reviews, Design Calculations to establish a full Design Verification Package (DVP) to satisfy the verification plan.
    • Ensure DVP has third party or independent review.
    • Check and approve layout and detail drawings.
    • Review/disposition survey reports.
    • Establish repair practices and engineering repair workscopes.
    • Adhere to and meet Engineering work schedules. Liaise with Sales and Manufacturing departments and provide technical support as required.
    • Provide field support as required.Provide engineering support for the service of installed Subsea Production Equipment (SSPE) provide options for customers on refurbishment/ repair of products.
    • Ensure all work is conducted with integrity and in an environmentally and safe manner.

    Qualifications/Requirements

    • BEng Hons Mechanical Engineering or equivalent Strong knowledge of materials, welding and heat treatment.
    • Demonstrated knowledge of industry standards and design codes.
    • Knowledge of Engineering design theory and manufacturing techniques.
    • Desire to provide world class service to customers by aligning global teams under the service platform.
    • Willingness to travel up to 10% of working time.
    • A valid NYSC discharge or exemption certificate will be required (please indicate clearly on your resume)

    Desired Characteristics:

    • Knowledge and experience pertaining to the following would be advantageous:Strong SSPE product line knowledge.
    • Knowledge of service maintenance procedures & processesSolid Oil & Gas industry knowledge.

    • Have a working knowledge of systems, procedures and other departments within an engineering company.
    • Desire to provide world class service to customers by aligning global teams under the service platform.
    • Willingness to travel within country up to 10% of working hours.
    • A valid NYSC discharge or exemption certificate will be required (please indicate clearly on your resume).

    Desired Characteristics:

    • B.Eng Hons Engineering or equivalent (Mechanical or Electrical)
    • Knowledge and experience pertaining to the following would be advantageous:
    • Knowledge of service maintenance procedures & processes
    • Solid Oil & Gas industry knowledge.
    • Able to provide problem solving in a calm and methodical manner
    • Interpersonal skills working in a remote worksite with multicultural workforce

    Good knowledge of:

    • Hydraulic systems, symbols, schematics, etc.
    • Subsea Control systems units - HPUs, UTAs, SDUs, SCMs, etc.
    • Sensors (PTs, TTs) and EFLs (ODI and Siemens)
    • Subsea Control systems units - MCS & SEMs, Basic knowledge of Well systems, Control Systems and IWOCS well heads, THs, etc.
    • Working knowledge of main Standards: ISO 13628, API 17F, API 17D, NACE MR0175/SO 15156, DNV2.7.1/DNV2.7.3, etc.

    Business Development Manager - West, Central & French SSA

    Role Summary

    • As a key member of the senior management staff for WCA/FSSA reporting into the GEHC General Manager, this role will be responsible for leading the origination, structuring and execution (through to orders/sales and cash collection) of projects in the private & public sectors as well as under PPP / MES type schemes including wide-scale healthcare transformation and mega-modernization programs.

    Essential Responsibilities

    • Leverage current GE government/institution’s relations to establish strong relationships with healthcare authorities
    • Work proactively with the Public & The Public Private Programs to ensure GE Wins in this space
    • Lead the customer’s account relationship including establish regular operating rhythm, organize and lead customer management committee meetings, identify marketing and promotional and create performance dashboards as well as initiate strategic discussions
    • Work seamlessly with the LCT GM and team
    • Forecast sales opportunities and execute sales strategy to ensure that growth and profitability are achieved/exceeded
    • Act as the “One GE Healthcare” face in front of the customer and coordinate all GE stakeholders for the projects she/ he is responsible for from inception to closure
    • Leverage GE government relations & GE Ecosystem to establish strong relationships with healthcare authorities and financing institutions personnel
    • Partner with the HPM and Execution organization at all times and in advance to ensure that the project is originated with solid execution and capability in mind & planned from the outset
    • Fully understand the breadth of the relevant product offering to represent the full spectrum of available structures
    • Managing the Sales process, identifying and executing simplification initiatives, driving market share and working with all other departments (price, structure & close) larger strategic accounts
    • Engage closely with GTM teams in the Africa to help engage in meaningful dialogues with customers, position the value around care areas and drive collaborative and co-creative approach to solution generation
    • Act as the One GE face in front of the customer and coordinate all GE stakeholders for the projects she/he is responsible for from inception to closure
    • Work closely with the Project and the Region Sales team to develop partnerships with local companies that enhance GE Healthcare offering and delivery capabilities for hospital projects (eg. local suppliers, construction and engineering companies, consultants, architects and packagers)
    • Drive partnerships with regional hospital projects stakeholders (suppliers, architects, construction companies.

    Qualifications/Requirements

    • Master's degree or relevant certification preferred or equivalent knowledge or experience
    • Previous experience selling GEHC Solutions (Equipment, Education & service)
    • Experience building frameworks and metrics to track outcomes from care pathway solutions
    • Innovation - develop new ideas through collaboration and execute on creative ideas
    • Proven ability to work globally
    • High level of understanding of regional government decision-making process and procedures
    • Proven project management experience in emerging market environments
    • Proven commercial success in the West, Central & French Sub Saharan Africa region
    • A professional, who is able to set priorities and milestones with stakeholders and prioritize
    • Healthcare experience in a program management environment
    • Ability to monitor and manage stakeholder activities and investments
    • Deep awareness and understanding of the Healthcare industry and major trends in the geography in which client projects are delivered
    • Demonstrated ability to think and lead on a strategic level within a complex organization
    • Deep knowledge of GEHC and the products and services offered
    • In Nigeria: a valid NYSC discharge or exemption certificate will be required (please indicate clearly on your resume)
