    Head of Mechanic

    Gross Salary: ₦400,000 per month

    Job Summary

    The Head of Mechanic will oversee all mechanical maintenance and engineering activities related to production equipment and profile quality operations within the factory. The role is responsible for ensuring machinery efficiency, minimizing downtime, maintaining quality standards, supervising mechanical teams, and driving preventive maintenance initiatives to support uninterrupted production.

    Key Responsibilities

    Mechanical Operations & Maintenance

    • Lead and supervise all mechanical maintenance activities within the production facility.
    • Ensure optimal performance of profile production machinery and related mechanical systems.
    • Develop and implement preventive and corrective maintenance schedules.
    • Troubleshoot mechanical faults and coordinate timely repairs to minimize downtime.
    • Monitor machine efficiency and recommend improvements for productivity enhancement.

    Quality & Production Support

    • Ensure mechanical systems support the production of high-quality profiles in line with company standards.
    • Collaborate with Quality Control and Production teams to resolve process and equipment-related quality issues.
    • Monitor equipment calibration and maintenance compliance.

    Requirements

    • HND/B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
    • Minimum of 3–5years’ experience in industrial mechanical maintenance.
    • Experience in profile extrusion, manufacturing, or industrial production environments is an advantage.

    Skills & Competencies

    • Strong knowledge of industrial mechanical systems and preventive maintenance.
    • Leadership and team management skills.
    • Troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
    • Good communication and reporting skills.
    • Ability to work under pressure and manage extended operational hours.

    Overtime Compensation:

    • Overtime allowance calculated using 60% of gross salary as the basic rate.
    • Weekday overtime: 1.5x hourly rate
    • Sunday/Public Holiday overtime: 2x hourly rate

    Electrical Technician

    Job Summary

    The Electrical Technician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems, equipment, and machinery within the facility. The ideal candidate should possess strong technical knowledge, hands-on maintenance experience, and the ability to ensure minimal downtime in operations.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Carrying out preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical systems and production equipment.
    • Diagnosing electrical faults and resolving issues efficiently to minimize downtime.
    • Installing, testing, and commissioning electrical components and machinery.
    • Monitoring electrical panels, motors, control systems, and power distribution systems.
    • Reading and interpreting electrical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
    • Ensuring compliance with safety procedures and electrical regulations at all times.
    • Assisting in troubleshooting automation and control-related issues.
    • Maintaining accurate maintenance records and reporting faults promptly.
    • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the maintenance department.

    Requirements

    • OND, HND, or Trade Test certification in Electrical Engineering or related field.
    • 1–3 years of experience as an Electrical Technician in manufacturing, FMCG, or industrial environments.
    • Good understanding of electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair techniques.
    • Ability to use electrical testing and diagnostic tools effectively.
    • Knowledge of industrial safety standards and preventive maintenance practices.
    • Strong problem-solving and teamwork skills.
