Roles & Responsibilities:

• Determine and manage daily manpower arrangement for each section to achieve daily production planning
• Prepare and keep records of requisition of raw materials required for daily production
• Prepare daily production report
• Ensure the production line run smoothly and daily production plan is achieved
• Attend to breakdowns promptly to ensure minimum loss in production time with competent Production Technician(s)
• make decisions about equipment use, maintenance, modification and procurement
• work out and implement standard operating procedures for production operations
• ensure that standard operating procedures are adhered to
• ensure implementation and adherence to health and safety procedures
• monitor quality standards of products and implement improvements plans
• implement and enforce quality control and tracking programs to meet quality objectives
• monitor and review the performance of staff and organize necessary interventions for improvement
• ensure efficient collaboration and co-ordination between relevant departments including procurement, distribution and management

Education, General Skills and Requirements:

• Minimum of HND or Degree in Production and Electrical/Mechanical Engineering
• 10 years minimum working experience in a Manufacturing concern
• Knowledge and experience in production and manufacturing processes and techniques

Our client, a leading manufacturer and marketer of industrial equipment - high pressure pumps, process technology and industrial equipment - serving customers globally, is currently looking to hire a suitable candidate for the position of Service Engineer for its Nigeria office.

Qualification: BEng/HND in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.

Experience: 3 years

Duties:

• Facilitating all activities pertaining to field service operations.
• Responsible for the troubleshooting, repairs and client training; spares order / re-order and AMC’s.
• Commissioning all machines & equipment of food processing plant.
• Responsible for pipeline and structure fabrication as per drawing and preparation of project close out reports
• Provide operational and maintenance training to operators on newly installed projects.
• Monitor contractors’ execution of project work to check strict compliance with planned execution schedule and make necessary control to avoid project delays.
• Performs the project audit on contractors performance evaluation.
• Capable of Maintenance of utility equipment such as Chillers, Cooling Towers, Air Compressor, Boilers / Steam Generators.
• Installation, commissioning and servicing of high pressure Homogenizer, Cup filling machines, & Continues Freezers.
• Maintenance of PHE Pasteurizer, & THE Pasteurizer.
• Independently handling all type of Breakdown, Preventive maintenances, shut down maintenance, TPM & manage the spare parts of machineries

Education / Experience / Other Requirements:

• BEng/HND in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. MEng and/or other relevant certifications will be an advantage.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Maintenance of Utility Such as Chillers, Cooling Towers, Air Compressor, Boiler / Steam Generator.
• Knowledge of installation, commissioning and servicing of high pressure homogenizer, cup filling machines, freezers and maintenance of PHE Pasteurizers, and THE Pasteurizers.
• Knowledge of installing and commissioning of cooling towers.
• Proficiency in the use of standard computer software tools such as MS Word and Excel, and ability to read and understand technical drawings and information.

• Understands machine setup including: program retrieval, proper gases, proper nozzles, and materials.
• Understands start-up and shut down for laser machines.
• Diagnose machining problems while performing jobs, making modifications as needed.
• Make proper set-ups for cutting operations.
• Perform prescribed maintenance as required
• Assist in loading and unloading team members’ machines when production requires additional manpower to maintain throughput.
• Perform minor maintenance and cleaning of cutting equipment and work area in accordance with company standards and manufactures machine

Education, General Skills and Requirements

• Minimum of SSCE or equivalent
• 5 years of laser operator experience.
• Training in general safety
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
