Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Locum Radiographer with expertise in ultrasound imaging to join our medical team. The ideal candidate will have sufficient radiography experience, demonstrating proficiency in conducting diagnostic imaging procedures, particularly in ultrasound, and ensuring high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic radiographic examinations, including X-rays, CT scans, MRI, and other imaging procedures.
• Ensure proper patient identification, positioning, and safety during procedures.
• Produce high-quality diagnostic images for accurate interpretation.
• Maintain accurate patient records and imaging logs.
• Operate and care for radiographic equipment in compliance with the manufacturer’s guidelines and safety standards.
• Assist radiologists and other medical personnel with procedures as required.
• Adhere to radiation protection guidelines to safeguard patients, staff, and self.
• Observe infection prevention and control protocols.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and uphold professional ethics.
• Participate in emergency radiography services if required.
• Report equipment faults or maintenance needs promptly.

Qualifications

• Bachelor\'s degree in Radiography or Radiologic Technology from a recognized institution.
• Minimum of 4 years of post-qualification experience in diagnostic radiography, with strong hands-on experience in ultrasound imaging.
• Demonstrated knowledge of ultrasound modalities and protocols.
• Ideal candidate should be a Registered Radiographer (RT) certified with the Radiographers Registration Board of Nigeria (RRBN).
• Candidates residing around the Alimosho axis will be considered
• Excellent communication skills expressed both in written and verbal forms

Responsibilities

We are looking for a skilled radiology technician to work closely with patients when performing radiologic imaging procedures. The responsibilities include:

• Completing the patients\' intake process, minuting patients\' histories, and preparing and educating patients about the imaging procedure following standard procedures.
• Reviewing patients\' charts and Doctors\' notes before the examination, and maintaining patients\' records during and after procedures while strictly observing patient confidentiality 
• Logging and organizing image results, developing film, assisting with the interpretation of the radiograph results, and reviewing with radiologists to determine quality and if other images need to be retaken.
• Monitoring patients and ensuring their safety during imaging procedures in line with radiologic standards of care
• Calibrating the equipment to ensure clear, usable images are taken of the correct area, as specified by the Doctor.
• Ensuring the proper sterilization and storage of the equipment, maintaining radiographic equipment, and reporting any equipment failures.
• Coordinating with the radiology department to schedule and complete radiographic procedures.

Qualification

• A diploma in radiology technology.
• Proficiency with Healthcare Management Systems PP and Microsoft Office Suite
• Excellent communication (written and verbal), interpersonal, and patient service skills.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to operate and understand radiographic technology and equipment.
• Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills
