    Accountant

    Responsibilities

    • Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
    • Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with company policies and external regulations. Liaise with external auditors as required.
    • Assist in the development and monitoring of budgets, as well as providing financial forecasts to support business decision-making.
    • Ensure timely and accurate preparation of tax returns, supporting documentation, and compliance with tax laws.
    • Analyze financial data and trends to provide insights that support strategic business decisions.
    • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.

    Requirements

    • Chartered Accountant (ICAN) certification is mandatory.
    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
    • 5 years of relevant work experience.
    • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and taxation.
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Proficient in the use of accounting software and Microsoft Office suite.
    • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
    • Proactive attitude and willingness to take on new challenges.

    Cashier

    Job Description

    • We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Cashier. 
    • As a Cashier, you will be responsible for handling various financial transactions, maintaining accurate records. 
    • The ideal candidate should possess excellent organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Post customer payments by recording cash, cheque, and credit/debit card transactions on the accounting software.
    • Maintain a comprehensive record of all cash, cheque, and credit/debit card transactions for future reference.
    • Manage an accurate and up-to-date hospital income record by handling bank cheques and documenting relevant transactions.
    • Ensure proper documentation of handovers of cash, cheques, and POS printouts.
    • Prepare regular (weekly) cash flow reports for management review when required.
    • Maintain confidentiality of all patients' and hospital's financial information.
    • Manage petty cash and disbursements.
    • Issue receipts to patients for services rendered by the organization.
    • Accurately credit client/patient accounts and debit the cash or cheque control account on the Accounting software.
    • Record accounting transactions on the financial reporting software and conduct bank reconciliations.
    • Lodge cash and cheques into corporate accounts as needed.
    • Safely keep custody of cash and cheques received until bank lodgment.
    • Ensure the good working condition of POS, cash safe, and other relevant tools used for the role.

    The Person

    • Minimum academic qualification of an ND in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or any related degree.
    • Minimum of 1-year relevant work experience.
    • Excellent customer service skills.
    • Working knowledge of accounting and financial concepts and practices.
    • Full working knowledge of the Microsoft Office package, especially with spreadsheet software (Excel).
    • Excellent communication and people management skills.
    • Exceptional oral, written, and presentation skills are required for this role.
