    Special Intervention Teacher

    He/ she will need to make informed observations and design effective programs. Preferred applicants are knowledgeable, compassionate, and have outstanding observation skills.

    • Assessing children's individual needs.
    • Collaborating with various parties to design individualized programs.
    • Collaborating with teachers and other parties to share the subject matter with children.
    • Ensuring students are supervised in classrooms and other settings at all times.
    • Keeping records of lesson plans, and records of children's performance.
    • Complying with Individualized Education Programs (IEP).

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in special education.
    • Experience working with children with special needs.
    • Ability to design effective programs for diverse children.
    • Outstanding communication skills.
    • Excellent observation and analytical skills.
    • Ability to use technology as a tool for teaching is an added advantage

    Class Teacher

    •  Plan, prepare and deliver lesson plans and instructional materials that facilitate active learning.
    • Develop schemes of work, lesson plans and tests that are in accordance with established procedures.
    • Instruct and monitor pupils in the use of learning materials and equipment.
    • Use relevant technology to support and differentiate instruction.
    • Manage pupil behaviour in the classroom by establishing and enforcing rules and procedures.
    • Maintain discipline in accordance with the rules and disciplinary systems of the school.
    • Provide appropriate feedback on work.
    • Encourage and monitor the progress of individual pupils and use information to adjust teaching strategies.
    • Maintain accurate and complete records of pupils' progress and development.
    • Update all necessary records accurately and completely as required by laws, school policies and regulations.

    • Participate in department, school, inter-location and parent meetings.
    • Communicate necessary information regularly to pupils, colleagues and parents regarding pupil’s progress and needs.
    • Establish and communicate clear objectives for all learning activities.
    • Prepare classroom for class activities.
    • Provide a variety of learning materials and resources for use in educational activities.
    • Observe and evaluate pupil's performance and development.
    • Assign and grade class work, homework, tests, examinations, and assignments.

    Requirements

    • N.C.E. / B.ED / P.D.E./ P.G.D.E. / M.ED
    • 3 – 5 years teaching experience (preferably in Nursery/Primary)
    • Ability to use technology as a tool for teaching is an added advantage

    Finance Account Officer

    Requirements

    • Graduate from an Accounting or Finance related degree (HND/BSC)
    • Minimum of 2 years related Accounting experience preferably in a School
    • Ability to work with children
    • Professionalism in handling clients' requests
    • Experience with Quickbooks is an added advantage
    • Experience with use of Microsoft Office/ G Suite package especially spreadsheets is an added advantage

    Science Teacher

    The science teacher’s responsibilities include developing interesting lesson plans and curricula, collaborating with other teachers, completing student assessments, and addressing any performance issues. To be successful as a science teacher, you should be a curious, lifelong learner with a passion for discovering new things. Outstanding candidates have a deep respect for the natural world and the ability to inspire this same respect in their students.

    • Designing, developing, and delivering quality lesson plans and curricula that adhere to Global best practice.
    • Drawing up suitable assessments and delivering helpful feedback to pupils, parents, and other teachers.
    • Establishing classroom, lab, and field trip rules and regulations and ensuring that all pupils understand what is expected of them.
    • Setting up demonstrations, assisting and supervising pupils while they conduct experiments.
    • Providing extra resources, support, and interventions for pupils who are struggling.
    • Grading papers, updating records, and handling various administrative tasks.
    • Creating an environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and voicing concerns.
    • STEM Education coordination.
    • Participating in other school activities.

    Requirements

    • Degree in science or a related discipline.
    • A relevant teaching qualification or certification..

    Special Education Teachers

    The preferred candidate will be responsible for teaching groups of pupils with mild or moderate disabilities. He/ She will work with the Sectional Head to modify existing curriculum on basic subjects to meet each pupil’s learning requirements and build individual lesson plans tailored to their specific needs. He/She will also highlight and report any important matters that might impede pupils’ progress; with the ultimate aim of inspiring the children to achieve important learning milestones.

    Responsibilities

    • Assess pupils’ abilities and craft teaching plans
    • Adapt learning materials to pupils’ needs
    • Keep track of and reflect on pupils’ progress
    • Monitor children’s behavioural patterns and arrange appropriate interventions if needed
    • Prepare pupils for transition to the next class
    • Collaborate with the supporting staff (or external therapists) to create holistic intervention plans

    Requirements and skills

    • Proven experience as a Special Education Teacher (especially teaching the HI children)
    • Good knowledge, communication and ability to teach in sign language
    • Good knowledge of current special education methodologies
    • Experience working with children with a wide range of disabilities
    • Ability to create IEPs
    • A patient, resourceful, and resilient personality
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
    • BSc in Special Education
