    Lead Project Engineer

    Job Description

    • The company, situated in Lagos, seeks to employ a Lead Project Manager, whom in addition to managing the day-to-day operations of the team, will be responsible for driving business forward by forging relationships, identifying business opportunities, taking the lead on business development activities and ensuring operational efficiency.

    Responsibilities

    • Working with the MD to develop and implement the company's strategic plans. This includes identifying new business opportunities, setting company goals and objectives, and creating plans to achieve them.
    • Overseeing existing projects and take the lead on new projects. This includes ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required standards including agreed milestones and reporting
    • Reviewing operational costs on projects and improving the bottom line; employing cost-saving measures such as reducing expenses, optimizing production processes, and increasing operational efficiency.
    • Developing and maintaining relationships with clients and vendors. This includes identifying new business opportunities and developing strategies to win new business.
    • Identifying and managing the risks associated with the company's operations. This includes creating risk management strategies and implementing risk mitigation plans.
    • Oversee the daily operations of the company including team members, developing and implementing policies and procedures, and ensuring that all departments work together effectively.

    Required Competencies

    • BSc / BA in Electrical / Electronic Engineering or related course
    • Certifiable experience in telecoms sector with a minimum of 8 years’ experience and at least 3 years in a leadership role
    • Evidence leading a diverse and efficient team
    • Experience with planning, budgeting and cost management
    • Ability to identify trends and present data that is suitable for decision making
    • Ability to work in a high-pressure environment, delivering projects to tight deadlines
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills
    • Demonstrated leadership ability and confidence
    • A team player, and strong problem-solving skills and emotional intelligence.

    Business Development Manager (Oil and Gas Industry)

    Responsibilities

    • S/he will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, building and maintaining relationships with clients, and developing strategies to grow the business.
    • Engage in active market research to identify new business opportunities
    • Prepare and execute relevant presentations to new and existing clients.
    • Be part of the team preparing bids, tenders, and other contract documents
    • Engage in development of quarterly or annual marketing budget development and tracking budget related expenses.
    • Develop and maintain up-to-date and comprehensive knowledge about the business practices and industry trends
    • Maintain an all-inclusive client database system to serve as a guide for follow-up and other relationship management activities for existing and new clients.
    • Coordinate with related functions within the company to ensure timeliness and accuracy in dealing with client (potential or existing) related transactions.
    • Develop and recommend innovative strategies for client retention
    • Ensure compilation and timely delivery of progress reports to management team
    • Participate in industry related conferences and client forums as a company representative.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, or a related field; MBA preferred
    • 10 years' experience in business development or a related sales role in the oil and gas services industry; Subsea engineering and experience with technical consultancy will be an added advantage
    • Strong communication and negotiation skills
    • Excellent presentation skills
    • Analytical person who displays strategic thinking abilities
    • Flexibility and adaptability.

    Skills:
    Successful candidates will work directly with the Managing Director and should:

    • Have proven experience building pipelines, generating and closing leads
    • Have a track record of building and maintaining client relationships
    • Have an understanding of how business development influences the business’s bottom-line and how to manage customer feedback for brand consistency.
