    Store-Keeper

    JOB DESCRIPTION OF A STORE KEEPER

    • Maintain receipts, records of stock cards.
    • Issues out materials on FIFO basis only.
    • Receives, unload, and shelve supplies.
    • Perform other stock-related duties, including returning, packing, pricing, and labeling supplies.
    • Inspect deliveries for damage or discrepancies; report those to accounting for reimbursements and record keeping.
    • Rotate stock and coordinate the disposal of surpluses.
    • Ensure adequate record keeping and manage all documentation to confirm proper stock levels and maintain inventory control.
    • Ensure that the store is properly locked and arranged.
    • Raise alarm when stock is getting close to re-order level so restocking can be made.
    • Keeps Appearances up: The overall image of the store is the store keeper’s responsibility. He ensures the store is free, with ample walking space.
    • Keeping detailed record of inventory when products are purchased and returned, arranges store transfers.
    • Creates and receives orders: When merchandise arrives, if is her responsibility to unpack shipments, assess the inventory and ensure it is in good condition.        

    JOB REQUREMENTS

    • O.N.D or H.N.D in any management discipline.
    • 2+ years of experience in storekeeping, inventory control, or record                 keeping
    • Knowledge of proper book-keeping and inventory management.
    • Familiarity with standard concepts and best practices in a stockroom or warehouse environment.
    • Analytical mind with ability to make accurate mathematical computations.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Competencies in data entry, analysis, and management.
    • Keen attention to detail and ability to effectively manage time.
    • Skills to operate common office equipment and computer system.
    • Applicant should be male and resident in Port-Harcourt, Rivers State.

    Cashier

    JOB DESCRIPTION OF A CASHIER

    • Handles all customer payments and credit transactions.
    • Arranges and stacks cash neatly in the safe.
    • Responsible for the daily balancing and reconciliation of cashbook.
    • Handles daily cash remittance.
    • Attend meetings and trainings as scheduled.
    • Operate point of sale system and keeps assigned area fully clean.
    • Assists customers and answers questions in a friendly manner.
    • Follow all established procedures for documenting errors in cashing procedures.
    • Set up, break down, stock, replenish and maintains cash register station.
    • Handles petty cash and reimbursibles.
    • Keeps cash office locked when not around and safeguards key.
    • Close accounts properly before handing over to the next cashier on duty.
    • Enters all postings into the appropriate accounts using the company software.
    • Sends report to the Accountant/Branch Manager at the close of shift for the day.
    • Raises sales invoices and issues receipt after payment to customers.

    JOB REQUIREMENTS

    • Applicant should have at least an OND in Accountancy, Finance, Economics or any social science disciplines with upper credit and above only.
    • Applicant must possess atleast 2 years experience in similar role.
    • Applicant must be open to running shifts.
    • Applicant must be female.
    • Applicant must have an analytical mind and a keen eye for details.
    • Applicant must possess sound numerical abilities and proficiency in computer operation.
    • Basic knowledge of Microsoft excel is a must.
    • Applicant must possess high level of integrity and good communication skills.
    • Applicant must be teachable and willing to learn new things.
    • Applicant must be within the ages of 25-35 years, female preferably.
