    Credit Underwriter

    Location: Ikoyi, Lagos
    Employment Type: Short-term contract
    Department: Credit Administration

    The Position

    • The Credit Risk Analyst is saddled with the responsibility of evaluating financial information and risks prior to granting loans to businesses or individuals.
    • You will assess information provided by potential borrowers, such as their financial liabilities, credit history, employment and income, to calculate the risks of extending credit to loan applicants.

    Responsibilities

    • First payment default - Underwriter must ensure proper scrutiny of documents and a minimal likelihood of First payment default
    • Fraud detection - Ensure all applications approved should be fraud free
    • Minimizing approval error - Loans should be approved with less than 0.01% error. All loans approved should approve accurately and error free
    • Numbers of transactions processed - Amount of transactions processed should not fall short of requirement
    • Transaction processing turnover ensure all approved loans should not exceed the stipulated required time (maximum of 15minutes per file).

    Requirements
    Required:

    • University Degree or equivalent standard with a high numeric content: Statistics, Econometrics, Business Administration / Economics, Mathematics, Finance, etc.
    • 2+ years practical experience

    Preferred:

    • Experience with hands-on customer relationship management
    • Practical knowledge in credit risk working for a banking or non-banking financial institution
    • Experience with Customer experience services.

    Field Recovery Officer

    Location: Ikoyi, Lagos

    The Position

    • In this role, you’ll be required to rehabilitate accounts in arrears through effective and efficient deployment of standard recovery practices aligned with legal framework requirements.
    • You will also handle customers’ objections and complaints in a professional manner and liaising with respective departments where necessary for prompt resolution.

    Responsibilities

    • Engage defaulting customers through the telephone, e-mails & physical visit to demand for payments on overdue accounts.
    • Maintain daily activity logs of number of calls, physical visits, right party contacts, promises to pay and promises to pay kept.
    • Verify information of overdue arrears and follow up with a call and physical visit
    • Negotiate effective payment plan arrangements & settlement that would prevent the account from rolling forward.
    • Tracking of Payments by following up on pending promises.

    Requirements

    • University Degree from any related field
    • 2+ years of experience in consumer loans operation directly dealing with delinquent clients and other problem-solving situations.
