    Fiat Operations Intern

    What you’ll be doing

    • As an intern in the Fiat Operations Team, your primary focus will be on assisting and learning from various aspects of our operations. Your responsibilities will include providing support to our customer success team, actively participating in brainstorming sessions, and contributing to the overall enhancement of our fiat products under the guidance of experienced professionals.
    • You will work closely with customer support teams to gain insights into customer interactions and identify potential areas for improvement. During brainstorming sessions, your role will be to contribute ideas and learn from the creative process of product enhancement. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will assist in translating these ideas into actionable plans aligned with our product development goals.
    • A significant part of your learning experience will involve data-driven decision-making. You will have the opportunity to analyze relevant data, under supervision, to gain insights into customer behavior, preferences, and market trends. Your contributions will play a supportive role in formulating strategies to optimize the performance and features of our fiat products.
    • Additionally, you will actively participate in specific projects within the Fiat Operations Team, gaining exposure to various aspects of product development, customer support, and operational processes.     What you need to have

    Ruby on Rails Engineer

    • You are a developer generalist who is comfortable with multiple languages at different levels. Ruby is our primary language, but we also write JavaScript.

    • Develop the next generation of Quidax exchange solutions at scale.
    • Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain web applications primarily using Ruby on Rails and any other technologies as required.
    • Reengineer to system as we migrate from a legacy rails version to the latest.
    • Lead technical projects alongside your team to ensure rapid and reliable delivery of software products.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and other developers, to understand project requirements and deliver high-quality software solutions.
    • Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and provide constructive feedback to team members.
    • Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements using server-side logic.
    • Collaborate with the DevOps team to ensure smooth deployment and continuous integration processes.
    • Build out monitoring and alerting infrastructure to instrument critical product flows
    • Own observability and maintenance for the features you and your teammates build
    • Shape the engineering team’s culture, norms, and processes.

    • Develop the next generation of Quidax exchange solutions at 6x the current scale.
    • Help reengineer to system as we migrate from a legacy rails version to the latest, then help to undertake a project to take advantage of the newer features.
    • Analyse and identify bottlenecks in performance and optimize accordingly.
    • Work with an established and knowledgeable team of engineers to build highly scalable and resilient applications and infrastructure, that serve millions of users.
    • Participate in our agile / scrum processes.
    • Support your fellow developers; proactively communicate, document, unit-test, and peer review.
    • Collaborate with frontend and devops engineers to add support for complex user interfaces both on web and mobile.
    • Support deployment of new services and databases.

    • Aid with system design, from application level to infrastructure level.

    Job requirements

    What you need to have

    • Proven experience as a Ruby Developer (minimum of five year's experience) and In-depth knowledge of Ruby on Rails and its conventions.
    • Proven experience in designing, implementing and maintaining scalable and high-performance systems with comprehensive understanding of software architecture principles and design patterns.
    • Solid understanding of object-oriented programming principles.
    • Extensive experience with relational databases, such as MySQL or PostgreSQL.
    • Experience with asynchronous job frameworks like Sidekiq, RabbitMQ and Kafka
    • Proficiency in engineering best practices and methodologies, including CI/CD, Scrum/Agile, BDD/TDD, and a strong background in automated testing frameworks.
    • Demonstrated leadership in senior software engineering roles, with a track record in scalable software solution development.
    • Proficient in cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud), RESTful API integration, and containerization tools like Docker.
    • Knowledge of caching strategies and tools along with web development security best practices.

    • Familiarity with front-end technologies, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

    Revenue Assurance Analyst

    What your day-to-day looks like

    • Create and construct Revenue Assurance measures, reporting systems and visual displays, with the primary objective of minimising revenue losses and identifying revenue recoveries and cost-saving opportunities.
    • Evaluate Revenue Assurance controls, reporting and dashboards to detect risks associated with revenue and propose, execute, and oversee remedial measures.
    • Conduct analysis and manipulation of diverse internal and external data sources to produce practical insights.
    • Conduct independent study to discover potential prospects or cases of generating income or excessive billing.
    • Produce business case and/or cost benefit statements to justify analysis and significant discoveries for potential revenue recovery possibilities.
    • Cooperating with essential stakeholders from various departments to address problems or discover and execute initiatives that enhance operational procedures.
    • Provide assistance in process automation, including technical and analytical support to operational and management teams as needed.

    What you need to have

    • Bachelor's degree from a recognized university (Most preferably in Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering and Accounting ).
    • 3-5 years of demonstrated business reporting and analytical experience, preferably within the Financial industry.
    • Experience analyzing, manipulating, transforming, and interpreting large and complex datasets (i.e., millions of rows in excel).
    • Technical Aptitude and Intermediate knowledge of database queries, structures, and data management principles. SQL, Excel/VBA, Big Query.
    • Experience with one or more current BI and visualization tools such as Tableau and Power BI.
    • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills; and highly detail oriented.
    • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills with ability to work with cross-functional teams.
