    Officer - Engineering Technician (Electromechanical)

    OBJECTIVE

    Ensuring effective maintenance of all electrical and mechanical components.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Ensure an effective maintenance of all electrical and mechanical components of the factory machines.
    • Generate a daily report on all electrical and mechanical faults reported.
    • Carry out periodic & preventive maintenance on all electrical and mechanical panels and machines.
    • Ensure prompt attention to fault and as well as quick detection and correction of technical faults.
    • Repair and maintain all coding machines for flexibles and cartons.
    • Carry out repairs on all electronic and mechanical scales.
    • Ensure proper maintenance culture, safety of machineries and personnel, as well as good
    • housekeeping.
    • Ensure that panels, tools & parts are well kept & managed at all times.
    • Ensure that the proper and standard operational procedures are strictly adhered to.
    • Ensure the proper functioning of machines, its accessories and other factory equipment with
    • minimum downtime.
    • Installation of new machines and equipment.
    • Training of production operatives.
    • Carries out any assigned food safety jobs by the head of department.
    • Any other jobs assigned by Supervisor.

    EDUCATION

    • Minimum of Trade Test 2 or 3 or an OND in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Workshop craft or Mechatronics HND is an added advantage

    EXPERIENCE

    • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar capacity

    Quality Assurance - Plant Hygienist

    JOB OBJECTIVES

    Responsible for maintaining components of the Food Safety Management System by establishing, maintaining, and coaching the building blocks of hygiene and food safety concepts within the factory. 

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Define, implement, and verify the effectiveness of the systems related to pest control, cleaning validation & verification, pathogen monitoring, foreign body prevention and hygiene and housekeeping.
    • Map sources of dirt across the factories and drive implementation of action plan to address them.
    • Coordinate the activities of the janitorial service providers across the factories and manage key performance indicators to optimize their operational effectiveness.
    • Support the production team by ensuring adherence to hygiene standards.
    • Support the maintenance teams by providing technical support for programs such as contamination risks.
    • Participate in good warehousing audits of the raw material and finished goods warehouses.
    • Participation in the factory's internal GMP audit program.
    • Participation in HACCP reviews.
    • Ensure performance of structured root cause analysis after incidents related to hygiene.
    • Deploy and deliver training on housekeeping and hygiene

    EDUCATION

    • B.Sc./ HND in Food Technology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Industrial Chemistry or other food related courses.

    EXPERIENCE

    • Minimum of five years’ experience in the food and beverage manufacturing industry. 

    KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

    • Knowledge of Food Science
    • Knowledge of Quality policies and procedure.

    Supervisor – Production Planning / Statistics

    JOB OBJECTIVES

    To manage production planning/statistics and finished goods evacuation activities in the department at various units (production store, shop floor, evacuation and statistics) to achieve departmental objectives.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    MONITOR ACTIVITIES IN STATISTICS & EVACUATION SECTION

    • Responsible for Evacuation activities: stock monitoring, proper documentation.
    • Responsible for Statistics activities: Generate various reports for the Director, Managers and the directorate as a whole.
    • Collate department waste level.

    COLLATION OF PRODUCTION OUTPUT

    • Ensure collation of production output values for all factories and making same available for all other department involved.

    NAV SUPPORT SERVICES & MONITORING

    • Provision of support services to users in Production Directorate in all NAV related issues. Monitoring relevant system modules to ensure they are used in accordance with standard PNG practices and procedures. Liaise with ICT in issues that cannot be handled by Key Users and ensure prompt resolution of it.

    STOCK TAKING EXERCISE

    • Manage monthly stock taking exercise in all factories to ensure proper reconciliation of physical and NAV stock are carried out successfully together with the management account team.

    RECONCILIATION OF FINISHED PRODUCTS

    • Daily monitoring of physical production output with NAV transformation and correction of possible difference to achieve zero variance.

    ADMINISTRATIVE MANAGEMENT

    • Make available factory kits (overall, canvass, lockers and stationery) manage stock level so as not to have stock out for all units and monitor the laundry section to ensure operatives get their kits properly washed and ironed.

    EDUCATION

    • BSc/HND in related field
    • M.Sc /MBA and other relevant professional certification is an added advantagee

    EXPERIENCE

    • At least 5 years post graduate experience in related field

    KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

    • Computer literacy
    • Excellent communication skill
    • Report generation from data collated
