    Electrical Inspector

    The Electrical Inspector's primary objective is to coordinate and control execution of inspections, analyze all process and auxiliary equipment so that the condition of each piece of

    equipment can be monitored and maintained at a high level of operating performance.

    What you will be doing

    The incumbent also analyses situations to determine whether it is a mechanical, electrical or operating problem and recommends solutions to correctly utilize all resources available.

    • Studies equipment problems and recommends modifications or replacements of it.
    • Investigates repetitive problems and initiates corrective maintenance procedures.
    • Continually informs Production, Process and Maintenance of the operating condition of equipment and advises those responsible when a piece of equipment should be shut down in order to prevent damage to said equipment or injury to any of the plant personnel.
    • The incumbent will ensure compliance with safety practices and procedures, availability of safety equipment and that first aid treatment is provided when required.
    • The incumbent is responsible and should have data pertaining to reliability so that he can analyze, and advise departments on the information needed to perform RCFA (i.e. Vibrations, temperatures, hours, causes, Pareto charts etc.)
    • Ensures that there has been a work order entered in CMMS to cover adjustments or repairs to equipment, checks for the proper equipment number, adequate description of the request, appropriate priority code and workshop or plant code.
    • Administers a Thermo graphic Analysis Program for all critical pieces of electrical equipment and reports results to all concerned including recommendations when required.
    • Preparation of the daily work schedule for the PPM tasks in accordance with equipment needs while utilizing CMMS to document and monitor equipment history files.
    • The incumbent participates in the administration of a Plant Lubrication Program with a conscious effort to reduce any undesirable impact on our environment.
    • Assist in the planning of systematic overhauls of major equipment.
    • Participate in the Maintenance Supervisor On-Call Program
    • Record all temperatures, pressures and any relevant information, which may be used for analysis from CCR.
    • The incumbent is also the plant person in charge of the Electrical integrity of the plant’s machinery.
    • Comply with EMS Methods Instrumentation activities.
    • Ensure involvement in the implementation and maintenance of integrated management system in the plant.

    Requirements

    • Minimum of Ordinary National Diploma(OND) in Electrical Engineering or 5 years of work experience in Cement manufacturing.
    • Computer literacy is essential. 
    • For good job performance, good communication skills.

    Mechanical Inspector

    • Prepare daily work schedule for the PMR tasks in accordance with equipment needs while utilizing CMMS to document and monitor equipment history files.
    • Record all temperatures, pressures and any relevant information, which may be used for analysis from CCR.
    • The incumbent is also the plant person in charge of the mechanical integrity of the plant’s machinery.
    • The incumbent is responsible and should have data pertaining to reliability so that he can analyze, and advise departments on the information needed to perform RCFA (i.e. vibrations, temperatures, hours, causes, Pareto charts etc.).
    • Ensure regular participation and engagement of the team for RCA/RCM process as and when required for assign machines performs other duties such as maintaining work records and maintenance repair history logs, attending regular meetings with maintenance engineers.
    • Participate in the Maintenance Supervisor On-Call Program.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering 
    • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in Mechanical Engineering, including rotating machines. Equipment maintenance, condition monitoring, in cement manufacturing company, refinery, power or heavy process plant.
    • Knowledge of gearboxes, transmissions, hydraulic, pneumatic, welding techniques, lubrication, and mechanical non-destructive testing.

    Mechanical Planner

    About the Job

    The Mechanical Planner is responsible for preparing all planned maintenance that has to be carried out by the Mechanical Execution team, service companies or contractors. In this role, the Mechanical Planner will work closely with the inspectors and the execution team on the following tasks and responsibilities in order to reinforce the day-to-day job preparation & planning. 

    What you will be doing

    • Planning and scheduling of all preventive maintenance routines in SAP/DMS together with the specific execution responsible. Generation and optimization of the 48/96 weeks workload balancing sheet by department/specialty/technic targeting a good balance during the days of the year. Generates the weekly and 13 weeks planning. Prioritizes the notifications coming from condition monitoring or others and generates corrective work orders in agreement with the requester.
    • Leads the preparation and consolidation of the shutdown planning (personal, third parties services, materials, spare parts, equipment, tools, time, critical path) with coordination meetings using MAC guidelines and tools.
    • Generates purchase orders as well as third party services contracts for mayor shutdown, assure that spares and services will be delivered on time. Control of expenses during planning as well during the execution vs budget and control the inventory level vs guide value
    • Assure that special and repetitive jobs come with a standard work order. Lead the weekly KPI revision meeting as well as the work planning confirmation for the next week
    • Takes care of his own development needs and trains the maintenance teams on planning requirements
    • Assure that all work orders have the required H&S information, and that all legal requirements (safety, environmental, maintenance) are in the yearly preventive maintenance plan and are executed.
    • Monitor the realization of the plans. Follow-up tasks defined in mayor shut-downs in a daily frequency
    • Leads After Action Review for shutdown or mayor repairs
    • The Mechanical Planner will be utilized to supervise some jobs and contractors

    Mechanical Engineer

    The role holder is responsible for ensuring the efficient coordination of all mechanical maintenance related execution activities in any designated area in the plant.

    What you will be doing

    • Responsible for the execution of maintenance work carried out on mechanical equipment in the plant with proper feedback to the Sectional Engineer.

    Automation Engineer

    Responsible for ensuring the effective application and maintenance of Control & Automation principles to support plant reliability and operational efficiency.

    The role will oversee the maintenance, sustainability, and continuous improvement of the plant’s automated control systems and process optimization platforms through the use of existing and emerging software and hardware technologies. Key systems include process controllers, HMI systems, industrial networks, kiln scanners, local control panels, reporting tools, and other integrated automation systems.

    Electrical Planner

    The Electrical Planner is responsible for assisting with the development of a reliability-based maintenance strategy, based on preventive and predictive maintenance, to improve the efficiency and productivity of the Plant workforce, service companies and contractors. This will be accomplished by providing detailed job plans, including technical specifications, machinery history, parts and tools lists, and safety procedures in a very organized fashion. The Planner is also responsible for providing all the necessary information to ensure that all work is completed in a safe, efficient and timely manner and in compliance with environmental requirements.

    What you'll be doing 

    • Gather pertinent information needed to plan the work orders in the planning stage of the Lotus Notes Work Order System, improve the content and quality of information on the work orders and eventually put them in progress after Methods Engineer validates them.
    • Add relevant information to the work orders, as required, to facilitate the comprehension of the execution team.
    • Define clearly the scope of work to be performed.
    • Develop a detailed job plan with all the work sequences involved to complete the repairs adequately, as well as equipment downtime and man-hours required.
    • Develop a tool list specific to the job to be performed.
    • Provide a parts list with reference numbers and exact location for every work order and ensure that all required parts are in stock before job scheduling.
    • Ensure all technical specifications and special instructions are provided on paper to the Supervisor and craftsmen.
    • Determine the cost involved for parts and supplies for each work order.
    • Inform the section supervisor/engineer when a job is ready for scheduling.
    • Establish and maintain with the supervisors and the stores department, a system for proper storage of pre-works and parts for pending work.
    • The incumbent will work with the Storeroom supervisor to update and maintain the equipment parts catalogue, and develop parts catalogs for existing equipment that have none as well as develop, equipment tool list for jobs that require such.
    • The Electrical Planner will work with the Storeroom Supervisor to review and update parts min-max.
    • The Electrical Planner will be responsible for improving and maintaining the equipment files and history (paper and electronic) in conjunction with the draftsman.
    • The Electrical Planner will ensure timely delivery of spare parts that are placed on order by working with the Purchasing officers and making use of the Lafarge tracker database program.
    • In collaboration with the Purchasing officers & Storeroom Supervisor, the Electrical Planner will ensure that the inventory and sources of spare parts are consistent with the Lafarge standards, plant equipment reliability and economic constraints. He will also ensure materials and parts conformity upon receipt.
    • In order to accomplish the prime objective of the position the Electrical Planner must be versed with the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). The incumbent must have knowledge of the work order tracking system, spare parts catalogue, requisitioning and inventory systems as well as knowledge of the modern software packages available such as Word, Excel, Microsoft Project Scheduler, etc.
    • The Electrical Planner will be utilized to supervise some jobs and contractors during annual plant shutdowns.
    • Ensure involvement in the implementation and maintenance of integrated management system in the plant.

    Requirements

    • University degree in electrical engineering or a minimum of 5/7 years of fieldwork experience in cement industry.
    • Familiar with cement plant equipment.
    • Good knowledge of technical standards and applications.
    • Computer literacy and knowledge in Lotus Notes Work Order System is necessary
    • Maintenance planning (preventive & predictive)
    • Strong understanding of electrical systems & plant equipment
    • CMMS proficiency (work order systems, asset tracking)
