    Procurement Officer

    Our client is an agribusiness firm (Farm & Agro-Processing).(Lokoja) (Ref: 723)

     Summary
    The Procurement Officer would be responsible for sourcing, procurement, and supply management for the firm. The job holder will typically handle the management, administration, and supervision of the firm’s acquisition processes; supplies, equipment, and materials.

    Responsibilities

    • Identifying the procurement needs of the organization and ensure all purchases are consistent with the needs of the organization
    • Survey market to understand industry, supplier and competitor trends.
    • Lead development and implementation of sourcing strategies for the procurement of raw materials for the establishment.
    • Work closely with internal stakeholders to implement short and long term sourcing strategies.
    • Adapt procurement strategies and plans to changing business priorities and communicate with business leaders to ensure close alignment between procurement and business requirements.
    •  Partner with raw material procurement colleagues and regional materials leaders to leverage sourcing and cross-business spend as well as identify new suppliers.
    • Lead complex negotiations and manage all aspects of the agreement and supplier relationships.
    • Monitor supplier quality and performance.
    • Complete tactical procurement activities to ensure continued supply of material to the supply chain.
    • Source goods, equipment and necessary services, and negotiate at best prices and contracts on behalf of the firm.
    • Reviewing purchase requisitions, awarding supplier tenders and supervising the performance of contractors.
    • Update the procurement tracker and submit monthly report.
    • Sending out of bidding documents, receiving and evaluating quotations and providing administrative support to the firm.
    • Support in any other task required or designated by the Procurement Manager and performing other duties as may become necessary for the smooth running of the Unit and the Company as a whole.

    Qualification and Experience:

    Education and Qualification

    • Bachelor’s degree in  related field
    • MBA [in Purchasing Supply or Economics related area] would be an added advantage
    • 3-4 years of raw material/Agricultural raw material procurement experience within a fast paced Agribusiness/Agro-processing/manufacturing industry or similar industry.
    • Experience in an International trading environment [ Is an added advantage]

    Deal Analyst

    Our client is a Private Equity Investment Firm.(Ref: 722)

     Summary

    • To ensure proper screening of the investment applications and that investment proposals are in strict compliance with the company’s “Viability Model as well as Investment Strategy and Policy Framework.
    • To research all aspects of fund investment target industries, Infra funds in general and other assignments as developed around the needs of the fund team. The primary responsibility is to analyze projects for investment decisions to enable acceptance for presentation to investment committee. Reports to Chief Investment Officer and Chief Executive Officer
    • Assists in the Market efforts of the Heads of Deals Origination via pitch preparation and update of market commentary.
    • Prepares marketing materials, presentations and Confidential Information Memorandum
    • Screens application from deals origination team to ensure compliance with the company’s Viability Model, investment strategy and policy framework.
    • Produces structured finance models and investment instruments, power point presentations, written analyses, research, financial statement analysis
    • Identifies key investment strength, risk and mitigants in event-driven transactions.
    • Acts as point person for the preparation and management of the financial model for each investment and deals in market, including responding effectively to questions from Risk as well as the rest of the fund team.
    • Collects and records impact data and ensures data integrity, in line with the company’s impact data strategy and policy
    • Prepares periodic reports on the performance of portfolio companies to the senior management
    • Assists in the development of new and innovative financing structures,

    Undertakes extensive and detailed Financial Modelling that involves the following, and not limited to

    • Fixed Income Analysis
    • Financial Planning
    • Research Methodology
    • Quantitative Investment Analysis
    • Portfolio Management
    • Conducts project feasibility and economic cost-benefit analysis on submitted bids or proposals to guide senior management in taking “Stop/Go” decisions.
    • Advises on the company’s investment policies, processes and procedures
    • Conducts research on all aspects of the prospective investment company and industry
    • Prepares research reports for the fund and external stakeholders, particularly pension fund investors
    • Assist other team members with analysis and tasks where necessary
    • Developing financial model templates in conjunction with fund auditor to ensure: Compliance with auditor valuation model, flexibility of template for fast analysis of new investments, ease of use for all fund team members, underlying code/macros that are robust and easy to edit, clean and clear presentation of all inputs and outputs.

    Qualification and Experience:

    Education and Qualification

    • Minimum of Bachelor's Degree in finance, economics or related field, as well as CFA or ACCA
    • Master’s Degree in Finance or MBA, will be preferred
    • At least 4 years’ post graduate finance, banking, credit experience, equity research (preferably in an infra related field), largely gained within a project Finance context or professional services environment.
    • Evidence of published industry research reports.
