RESPONSIBILITIES

• Organise, classify, catalogue and maintain books and other library resources. 
• Ensure the library is clean, orderly and conducive to reading and learning.
• Issue and receive books and other library materials. 
• Maintain accurate records of borrowed and returned materials. 
• Follow up on overdue or missing books.
• Help students locate appropriate books and learning resources. 
• Encourage regular reading and independent learning. 
• Guide students on effective research and information-searching skills.
• Work with teachers to provide relevant books and resources for different subjects. 
• Assist students with research, projects, assignments and examinations.
• Establish and enforce appropriate library rules. 
• Maintain a quiet, safe and respectful environment for students.
• Maintain an inventory of library materials and equipment. 
• Prepare periodic reports on library usage, acquisitions, losses and other activities.

REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATION

• Bsc in Library & Information Technology or Library Science
