Job Responsibilities

• Oversee the day to day running of the stores department and ensure effective and efficient us of stock items by various stakeholders.
• Create a mechanism of monitoring and control of stock items being used at the plant to facilitate the optimization of the resources in line with the Plant budget.
• Key Duties & Responsibilities
• Oversee all materials receipts, processing, fulfilment, movement pick-up, monitoring and dispatch at the plant.
• Approve all stock receipts (to) and dispatch (from) Plant.
• Plan, direct and evaluate efficiency of all depot inventory planning and control activities.
• Assume responsibility for efficient management of depot resources such as vehicles, equipment, etc.
• Ensure store is optimally utilized by constantly reviewing layout, space utilization and material flow to identify improvement areas.
• Ensure daily records of stores transactions are uploaded onto the system on a regular basis.
• Organize regular/periodic stock count exercises and ensure discrepancies are resolved on a timely basis.
• Investigate incidences of damaged/missing stock in the depot and escalate to the Plant Director where necessary.
• Take adequate steps, including leveraging of existing relationships to ensure timely resolution of depot-related issues and challenges.
• Implement approved HSE policies and procedures for stores safety.
• Ensure continuous review and assessment of the effectiveness and efficiency of stores management policies, procedures and processes, identify improvement opportunities and make recommendations to the GM-Finance.
• Develop periodic performance report for review and decision making by the Plant Director.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by the Plant Director.

Requirements

• BA / B.Sc / HND in any relevant discipline
• 5 - 8 years relevant experience in stores management of a large manufacturing company
• Relevant Professional Certification would be an advantage.
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in any numerate discipline is preferred.
• Relevant Professional Certification would be an advantage.
• Good communication skills.

Responsibilities
The ideal candidate should be able to:

• Engage clients in conversation to determine their woodworking needs, and provide them with information on available designs.
• Assist clients in determining sizes and types of the woodwork that they require, for specific places.
• Provide clients with cost estimates of their woodworking projects, and obtain required approvals.
• Create lists of required materials such as wood, nails, and glue, in order to prepare for woodworking tasks.
• Obtain supplies and equipment from vendors and suppliers, ensuring that the right type and amount is received.
• Set up and calibrate wood cutting machines to ensure that they are in good working conditions.
• Select and adjust proper cutting and milling tools to ensure that the job is properly done.
• Create pieces out of wood in accordance with the instructions provided by clients.
• Polish finished work pieces, ensuring that they are according to established standards of quality.
• Provide clients with information and education on the proper use of wooden items, and ensure that they understand preventative maintenance.
• Clean and maintain woodworking tools and equipment on a regular basis, aimed at ensuring that they work properly during project time.

Requirements

• SSCE / OND / HND / B.Sc / Vocational training/ trade test
• 2-4 years’ working experience preferably in a field related to wood work.
• Experience with various aspects of furniture manufacturing, operating machines, panel processing etc.
• Experience in furniture installation.

• Candidates Should have experience in power transmission products, bearings, conveyor spares, industrial hoses, tools, maintenance (predictive and preventive), lubrication, seals, pumps, valves, gaskets, electric motors, gears drives, standard sand, sealing adhesives, fasteners, vulcanizing components, welding solutions, automation parts, etc .also technical support, installations, servicing, procurement services, consultancy, and surveys.

The Role

• The candidate will treat all RFQ’s requests and source for suppliers and vendors for the company.
• You will be liaising with internal departments and suppliers, analyzing and comparing product samples, and negotiating procurement contracts.

Responsibilities

• Out competitive sourcing using Rfq on e-sourcing platforms to reduce procurement cycle time, establish transparency and traceability.
• And onboard suppliers to achieve business measures: - Identifying intermediary suppliers and eliminating 80% of intermediary suppliers. for developing and tracking standard operating procedures in procurement activities.
• Evaluate, and select vendors based on the evaluation of bids tendered.
• Tracking and ranking all suppliers on pricing, quality, and speed of response to help guide supplier choice. purchase requisitions and purchase orders
• The creation and management of supplier contracts.
• The quality of service performance of the suppliers in accordance with the company’s policies and profitability goals. and manage vendor/ supplier management database and SLA adherence tracker.
• And maintain SLAs with the sales team for turn-around time for responding to requests.
• And implement proper purchasing policies, controls, SOPs, and Processes for the department. that all requests are attended to within 48 hours. tracking of all requests via a CRM system to ensure that no request gets forgotten. for tracking and ensuring that the company wins at least 90% of quotations that they to clients.
• That the company’s supplier database is always kept secure.
• Coach, train, and mentor team members on improved and new procedures and skills.
• Informed on the latest industry techniques and methods. customer satisfaction goals and coordinate with the team to meet daily goals. suppliers and maintaining long-lasting relationships with them as well as existing suppliers. quotes from different suppliers. quote comparisons and contributing to internal supplier selection based on the quotes.

Job Requirements

• B.Sc / HND / B.ENG in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years work experience in managing machine parts
• A thorough understanding of sourcing methodologies.
• Strong negotiation skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Understand the business of procurement (Sourcing)
• Sound time-management and organizational skills.
• Good understanding of margins when pricing
• Must have very good analytical skills (spreadsheet ninja)
• Must have very good people management and issue resolution skills
• Must be focused on order fulfillment and not just on placing orders with suppliers
• Proven experience in Customer service
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
