    Industry Specialist

    Level: Mid-Senior (Senior Management Role)

    Job Purpose

    • As industry specialists, the primary purpose of the role is to greenlight credits in their industry, applying their professional knowledge in the credit assessment prior to any approval
    • The role holder will also be expected to become Certified Senior Credit Officers following intensive Senior Credit Officer training programmes which will place them in positions to grant approvals.

    Responsibilities
    The Industry Specialists will be responsible for the following:

    • Develop industry studies which will include an identification of target market/RAAC for their specific industries. This will highlight key risk issues and appropriate mitigants to guide marketing efforts.
    • Assess credits in their specific area and identify any structural weaknesses which must be mitigated before giving approval to proceed.
    • Lead in project finance in the area of expertise to ensure all areas of ambiguity or uncertainty are addressed and adequately mitigated through structuring and other conditions.
    • Train and mentor other staff to build a reservoir of expertise for the group.

    Qualifications

    • First Degree in any relevant course of study.
    • Minimum of 10 years’ experience with at least 5 years in top management level.
    • Professional qualification is an added advantage.

    The Specialists will be from the following industries:

    • Agric
    • Aviation
    • Construction
    • Maritime
    • Mining
    • Power
    • Oil & Gas
    • Telecommunications
    • Other Infrastructure projects

    Technical Skills:

    • Knowledge of Credit Risk Management and Credit Assessment.
    • Good knowledge of the Bank’s products and services.
    • Excellent communication skills - oral and written.

    Requirements
    Successful candidates must have:

    • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in their Industry – either as a staff of one of the major industry leaders (preferably top 3) or as a Management Consultant (in one of top 5 international consulting firms) or as a Relationship Manager / Analyst in a reputable bank (one of top 10% banks in the banking sector as determined by a reputable industry rating agency)
    • Must have been at top management level for at least 5 years(AGM in banking sector or equivalent)
    • Demonstrated knowledge of the complexities of the industry with verifiable and quantitative evidence e.gparticipated in the execution of at least 5 major projects in the Industry etc.
    • Membership of professional institution in industry.
    • Professional qualification and experience across Africa/International is preferred.

    Relationship Officer (Sales Workforce)

    Job Objectives

    • To establish and maintain positive customer relationships towards the growth revenue for the bank.

    Roles & Responsibilities

    • Approach customers with the aim of winning new business,
    • Meet with existing customers to strengthen business relationships with a view to increase financial growth of the bank.
    • Aggressively market the bank’s products to ensure favorable market response and optimum build-up of revenue.
    • Follow up customers with dormant accounts, convince to resume dealings with the bank.
    • Implement marketing strategies / programs laid out by the bank to boost profit.
    • Listen to customer requirements and present appropriately to make a sale.
    • Achieve set deposit targets / contributions by acquiring business / investment deals from private, public, individuals and corporates.
    • Prepare documentation on the creation of risk assets to increase business office profitability.
    • Sell / cross-sell and upsell the banks products.
    • Market the brand.
    • Perform other related duties as assigned by the business manager.

    Minimum Educational Qualification

    • Bachelor's Degree qualification.

    Candidate's Profile:

    Profit Center Manager (Sales Workforce)

    Job Objectives

    • To coordinate the activities of retail teams through effective relationship management to meet/surpass financial targets to drive the profit growth of the branch.

    Roles & Responsibilities

    • Ensure significant increase in market share within own region.
    • Drive performance of the unit - liability generation and quality risk asset creation.
    • Risk asset appraisal, disbursement and monitoring.
    • Ensure effective relationship building and management with new and existing customers.
    • Optimally exploit new and existing opportunities in the market.
    • Drive the reactivation of all inactive/dormant accounts in the branch.
    • Plan and implement marketing strategies to boost profit.
    • Supervise and coordinate the activities of account officers.
    • Perform other related duties as assigned by the Business Manager.

    Minimum Educational Qualification

    • Bachelor's Degree qualification.

    Candidate's Profile:

    • We are looking to hire talented and experienced individuals with a minimum of 5 years' Profit Centre Manager experience to drive our personal banking, SME and consumer loan for all our branches across Nigeria.
