    Head of Recovery

    About the role
    What you'll get to do

    • Define resource requirements to optimize for quick fund recovery while maintaining reasonable levels of overhead cost
    • Drive the recruitment of the recovery network in line with needs of the business by working with the recruitment team to properly define the required profiles and filtering through candidates to ensure we get the best hands
    • Define recovery strategies, train and manage the recovery network to ensure maximum effectiveness
    • Analyze and work with data to continue to improve recovery processes and strategies with a goal to achieve peak recovery efficiency
    • Monitor all loans in recovery and ensure they are being handled efficiently
    • Analyze the loan recovery process to identify potential inefficiencies or bottlenecks
    • Define the performance management process for all recovery officers, managers and other participants in the recovery process
    • Work with business leaders to report trends and provide suggestions on ways to reduce the loans that fall into recovery or information that could aid the recovery management process used to support the business with a highly efficient recovery process when the need arises.

    To succeed in this role, we think you should have

    • At least 3 years pr oven experience leading a fast paced team
    • Experience in recovery, loan monitoring, credit or general operational experience.
    • Data analytical skills and a knack for capturing and using data to solve problems
    • Experience with credit or lending is an added advantage
    • Ability to execute goals independently with little or no supervision

    Loan Monitoring Officer

    Job Responsibilities

    • Liaising with Field Credit Officers to follow up on upcoming repayments
    • Providing clarifications about repayments and interest accrued
    • Following up with Field Credit Officers on loans in default
    • Approving loan requests at the Portfolio Manager level
    • Handling customer enquiry requests from Field Credit Officers in regards to loan repayment
    • Following up with Field Credit Officers on loans that are due for repayment
    • Tracking low turnover of businesses on the loan and following up with Field Credit Officers to ensure improvement
    • Perform all other functions as may be assigned by a supervisor

    Qualifications

    • A minimum of a OND in any business related discipline
    • A minimum of 2 years experience in credit risk or field verification is an added advantage

    Financial Reporting Manager

    • The Financial Reporting Manager will assist and contribute to the overall operations of corporate accounting and consolidations. Will be involved in accounting operations including all accounting policy, internal controls, external reporting, and any other financial accounting compliance requirements.

    Responsibilities:

    • Month-end & Year-end closure of accounts
    • Ensure data entered and postings made are on-time and accurate across all key areas such as revenue, costs, FX, prepayments, Fixed assets, accruals, and all areas covering the P&L and Balance Sheet
    • Detailed review before, during, and after each step is completed to ensure the highest level of quality
    • Ensure policies and procedures are followed and that all control steps are completed
    • Ensure accounting treatments are per IFRS
    • Assisting the Financial Controller with the management of the year-end audit as well as internal audit queries
    • Support the ongoing work to develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
    • Support the identification and delivery of solutions that will enhance and automate existing processes.
    • Challenge the current approach, offer views on improvement, and support the implementation of those improvements
    • Assisting the Financial Controller & CFO with any other projects as assigned including systems integration

    Candidate requirements:

    • Qualified accountant with a management accounting background (ACA, CIMA, ACCA)
    • Have a minimum of 8 years experience
    • Great communication skills
    • Good commercial awareness
    • Track record of working directly with commercial colleagues
    • Bachelor's Degree in accounting/finance
    • Detail oriented & self-sufficient
    • Excellent Excel skills is a must.
    • FP&A experience (preferred)
    • Basic knowledge of SQL (preferred)
