    Head of Finance & Strategy

    THE JOURNEY

    • Be the General Manager's right-hand in any strategic and financial decision
    • Define jointly with the General Manager the long-term goals of the country
    • Set and review quarterly country and department targets based on long-term goals
    • Implement current corporate strategy throughout the annual planning cycle both at country and city level
    • Work with cross-functional teams (operations, marketing, finance, procurement, and commercial) to ensure a profitable and flawless execution, and to develop profitability analysis for new ideas/businesses
    • Study the viability - reports of investments/projects, strategic reorientation, etc
    • Lead cross-functional projects to improve profitability
    • Analyze business performance and measure KPIs, identifying issues and potential improvement opportunities
    • Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual finance and accounting reports and analyses (P&L and BS).
    • Work closely with Global Finance Teams (Billing, Treasury, Accounting, etc) to solve any day-to-day issues and ensure 100% satisfaction of Nigeria’s customers, partners, and couriers in any topic related to finance
    • Manage treasury function and ensure optimal cash flow
    • Coordinate the preparation of Financial Statements
    • Lead the relationship with third parties: external auditors, administrations, external consultants,
    • Analyze procedures and external audit - Contributing to the continuous improvement of the processes promoting solutions to possible problems detected and reducing manual tasks
    • Optimize the fiscal policy of the company: VAT tax knowledge, IIBB Multilateral Agreement
    • Report to the General Manager with a dotted line to the African head of Finance & Strategy

    What You Will Bring To The Ride

    • 6-10+ years of work experience in consulting, investment banking, audit, or corporate finance within a leading company providing teams with the necessary data to make the right decisions & leading major projects
    • Strong working knowledge in manipulating and presenting quantitative data (Excel, Google Spreadsheets, etc.), ability to build flexible and comprehensive reporting templates
    • Advanced English
    • Strong analytical skills, goal-oriented, and teamwork
    • Hands-on and autonomous
    • Advanced accounting and finance knowledge
    • Ability to influence stakeholders in order to help achieve your goals

    Senior People Partner

    YOUR WORK-LIFE OPPORTUNITY

    • Your main mission will be to “Define and own the People strategic agenda” for four countries in Sub-Saharan Africa: Nigeria, Uganda, Ivory Coast, and Kenya.
    • You will report to the Head of People and work closely with the General Manager and local leadership teams in each country, including frequent travel across the region.
    • As part of the leadership team in each country, you will be the primary point of contact for senior leaders across the organization, offering both expert strategic guidance and hands-on leadership support.
    • You will be responsible for bringing the People vision to life, deploying the people strategy, and supporting business needs with a high-standard, forward-thinking approach—challenging the status quo and building strong relationships with internal stakeholders.
    • You will play a key role in driving the People agenda for multiple teams and sub-departments, helping to shape the business from a People perspective.
    • Your work will be guided by long-term business strategy and objectives. This role requires strong cross-functional collaboration with both local and global HR teams, including centers of excellence and People operations & solutions. You will cover all areas of Human Resources within a significant part of the organization.

    Be a Part Of a Team Where You Will

    • Partner strategically with the senior leaders in the team, always aligned with People processes, to translate strategic objectives into project delivery
    • Guide your team to build strategic initiatives through the generation of relevant data and analysis
    • Lead growth projects within the teams you support as well as reorganizations according to business needs.
    • Own the Strategic workforce planning activities.
    • Coaches, supports, mentors and challenges business leaders in the application of HR policies and practices, provides advice and direction on sophisticated HR issues.
    • Partner with the client area's leadership to identify business needs aligned with organization plans and team growth (structure, costs) and partner with the People Acquisition team to ensure and enable the correct recruitment process.
    • Ensure development is a key topic in Glovo, making it a core topic at the leadership level within the client teams. Ensure the performance review process with high-quality discussion, and implement and manage career path for key roles and secure succession planning
    • Support the business to identify mid and long-term capability needs, in order to implement a learning and development process and ensure a continuous learning environment
    • Maintain a strong focus on employee relations, monitor employee engagement, and retention activities

    What You Will Bring To The Ride

    • Experience in highly demanding environments and in a similar role for more than 5 years
    • Experience in leading HR teams (including managing people)
    • Proven experience as an HR leader in the region, with knowledge of various countries in scope
    • Track record in Leaders development
    • Experienced in working with Global People teams, looking into translating strategy to regionally relevant executions
    • Diligent and firm with high ethical standards
    • Excellent English, written and spoken, French is an advantage
    • An empathetic, inclusive and curious attitude and excellent interpersonal communication skills at all levels
    • Experience in startups will be highly valued, either by having directly worked in a similar company or managing a new project unit in a larger organization
    • Exposure to HR Tech including HRIS, ATS and reporting HR metrics.
    • Open to travel 1 per quarter between Kenya, Ivory Coast, Nigeria, Uganda
