The Head of Investment Management is responsible for defining and executing the organization’s investment strategy to achieve superior, risk‑adjusted returns. The role provides strategic leadership across the full investment lifecycle origination, evaluation, execution, monitoring, and exit while ensuring strong governance, value creation, and optimal portfolio performance. The position will also lead co‑investment initiatives and special purpose vehicles to drive sustainable shareholder value.
Responsibilities
Design, implement, and continuously enhance a comprehensive investment management framework covering origination, due diligence, approval, monitoring, and divestment.
Establish clear investment governance structures and decision‑making processes.
Ensure all investment activities align with the organization’s strategic goals, capital allocation priorities, and targeted risk‑return profile.
Lead investment committee preparations, including investment memoranda and recommendations.
Develop and implement portfolio performance management frameworks, including financial and non‑financial KPIs.
Conduct quarterly portfolio performance reviews, providing actionable insights and recommendations for optimization.
Monitor asset‑level and portfolio‑level performance against benchmarks and strategic targets.
Provide analytical support for portfolio rebalancing, exits, and capital redeployment decisions.
Lead and manage co‑investment initiatives, including SPVs and SPAC‑related transactions.
Oversee project structuring, execution, and performance monitoring to ensure alignment with stakeholder interests.
Coordinate cross‑functionally with Legal, Finance, Risk, and Operations to ensure seamless execution and compliance.
Manage relationships with co‑investors, partners, and external advisors.
Identify, assess, and mitigate investment risks across the portfolio.
Ensure compliance with internal investment policies, regulatory requirements, and best‑practice governance standards.
Drive transparency through accurate reporting and performance tracking.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field.
MBA or relevant postgraduate qualification is an added advantage.
Professional certifications such as CFA, CPA, ACA, or equivalent are highly desirable.
Minimum of 10 years’ progressive experience in investment management, private equity, asset management, or portfolio management.
Proven track record in investment origination, execution, portfolio management, and exits.
Experience managing co‑investment structures, SPVs, or complex investment vehicles is a strong advantage.
