    Growth Lead

Position Level: Mid / Commercial Lead

Reporting To: Senior Commercial /Sales Lead

Core Objective: Own end-to-end product delivery, user growth, commercial monetization, funnel performance, and daily B2B customer acquisition in the trenches.

    Role Overview

We are seeking an aggressive, data-savvy, and hands-on Growth Lead to drive top-of-funnel acquisition, optimize mid-funnel conversions, and maximize customer lifetime value. In an early-stage, bootstrapped startup fighting for survival, this role isn't about sitting behind a desk grooming backlogs—it requires skin in the game and absolute commitment to the trenches.

When we hit the market to pitch enterprise users like Item7 Go or QFA Nigeria Limited or run offline agent ops, you are expected to be on the front lines. You will combine analytical expertise (Mixpanel, Google Analytics, Tableau, Airtable) with aggressive real-world commercial execution—auditing drop-off points, running weekly churn/reactivation loops, and stepping out daily to execute offline B2B sales campaigns and direct merchant acquisition.

    Key Responsibilities

Absolute Product Ownership & Delivery (Pre-to-Post Shipment Phase)

    • End-to-End Product Ownership & Rituals: Own product daily rituals and drive high agency for product delivery that matches all success criteria, ensuring no edge case is missed and there are zero product, UI, or UX gaps (zero tolerance).
    • Phased Operational Focus: During these early days before the product is fully shipped, stable, reliable, and available 99% of the time, your primary obsession is flawless execution and zero-defect delivery. Once stable, the focus shifts aggressively to your main core goals: the market, sales, and revenue.

Field Sales, Enterprise B2B & Growth Acquisition

    • Field Sales & Enterprise Pitching: Actively hit the market daily to pitch enterprise users like Item7 Go or QFA Nigeria Limited, run offline agent ops, close deals, and drive direct merchant onboarding.
    • SEO & Organic Growth: Own search engine visibility, keyword strategy, and organic landing page performance to capture high-intent prospective users.
    • Digital Campaign Management: Design, deploy, and scale paid and organic digital acquisition campaigns.
    • High-Intent vs. Random User Targeting: Build frameworks to distinguish and prioritize high-intent users over passive site traffic, ensuring high acquisition quality.

Funnel Audit, Conversion & Drop-Off Optimization

    • Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO): Continuously benchmark and improve Visit-to-Conversion Rates across all web and app touchpoints.
    • Funnel Auditing & Iteration: Conduct ongoing funnel audits to identify drop-off rates, eliminate friction points, and deploy rapid A/B experiments and iterations.
    • Active vs. Dormant User Management: Monitor active vs. dormant user distributions and build weekly automated and manual engagement loops.

    Churn, Reactivation & Retention Mechanics

    • Data-Led Churn Management: Slice cohort data weekly to detect early indicators of user churn and drop-offs.
    • Reactivation Workflows: Build and execute weekly reactivation strategies (via email, SMS, push notifications, and direct field outreach) to win back dormant accounts.

    Customer Satisfaction & Relationship Management

    • Customer Feedback Loops: Deploy qualitative user surveys using Airtable to gather actionable sentiment and product insights.
    • NPS & C-SAT Ownership: Measure, track, and systematically raise Net Promoter Score (NPS) and Customer Satisfaction (C-SAT) metrics across all B2B user touchpoints.
    • B2B Relationship Management: Maintain hands-on post-onboarding relationships with commercial accounts to guarantee account health and minimize B2B churn.

    Analytics, Dashboarding & Reporting

    • Hands-on Analytics: Daily utilization of Mixpanel and Google Analytics (GA4) to track user behavioral pathways, funnels, and event-based interactions.
    • Weekly Tableau Reporting: Build, maintain, and publish weekly executive dashboards in Tableau reflecting core growth trends, cohort behaviors, and unit economics.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) & Weekly OKRs

This role is tied directly to weekly measured commercial OKRs and KPIs:

    • Top-Line Commercials: Monthly Recurring Revenue (MRR) & Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) targets.
    • Unit Economics: Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC) vs. Customer Lifetime Value (CLV/LTV) ratios.
    • Conversion Metrics: Visit-to-Sign Up Rate, Drop-Off Rate, Active-to-Dormant User Ratio.
    • Retention Metrics: Weekly Churn Rate, Reactivation Rate.
    • Satisfaction Metrics: Net Promoter Score (NPS), Customer Satisfaction Score (C-SAT).

    Required Qualifications & Mindset

    • Startup Mindset: Relentless grit, willingness to get your hands dirty, skin in the game, and total alignment with an early-stage, bootstrapped startup fighting for survival.
    • Sales & Field Execution: Proven track record of stepping out into the field daily to close B2B accounts, pitch enterprise clients, and execute offline agent ops.
    • Hands-On Tool Stack:
      • Product Analytics: Mixpanel, Google Analytics (GA4)
      • Data & BI: Tableau (weekly dashboard creation), Airtable (qualitative survey systems & feedback management)
    • Growth Marketing: Proven experience managing digital ad platforms, landing page optimization, and technical/content SEO.
    • Commercial Rigor: Strong mastery of unit economics (CAC, LTV, ARR, MRR) and funnel conversion mechanics.
