    Group Treasurer

    About the job

    The Group Treasurer at VFD Group is responsible for overseeing the organization’s treasury operations, including liquidity management, capital structure optimization, financial risk mitigation, and investment strategy. This role ensures efficient cash flow across subsidiaries, maintains banking relationships, and supports strategic financial planning to drive sustainable growth.

    • Monitor and manage daily cash positions across the group.
    • Forecast short- and long-term cash flow requirements.
    • Optimize working capital and ensure adequate liquidity for operations
    • Develop and execute funding strategies to support business growth.
    • Evaluate debt and equity financing options.
    • Manage intercompany loans and capital allocations.
    • Maintain strong relationships with banks, financial institutions, and investors.
    • Negotiate favorable terms for credit facilities and banking services.
    • Ensure compliance with covenants and reporting obligations.
    • Identify and mitigate financial risks including interest rate, FX, and liquidity risks.
    • Implement hedging strategies where appropriate.
    • Ensure compliance with treasury policies and regulatory requirements
    • Evaluate investment opportunities and manage group investment portfolios.
    • Monitor returns and ensure alignment with group objectives.
    • Support M&A and strategic investment initiatives.
    • Treasury Operations & Systems
    • Oversee treasury systems and automation tools.
    • Ensure accurate and timely treasury reporting.
    • Drive continuous improvement in treasury processes and controls.

    Requirements

    • Strategic financial thinking and business acumen
    • Strong analytical and quantitative skills
    • Excellent negotiation and relationship management abilities
    • Proficiency in treasury systems and financial modeling
    • Deep understanding of financial markets and instruments
    • High integrity and attention to regulatory compliance
    • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
    • Professional certification (e.g., CFA, ACT, ICAN, ACCA) is highly desirable
    • Minimum of 8–10 years’ experience in treasury or corporate finance, preferably in a group or holding company structure

    Technical Assistant

    We are looking to hire a Technical Assistant will provide high-level technical, analytical, and operational support to the Director. The role is designed to enhance executive effectiveness by supporting decision-making through data analysis, coordination of executive deliverables, preparation of reports and board materials, and management of key technical and operational workflows across the Group.

    The ideal candidate will be highly analytical, discreet, technologically sound, and capable of operating in a fast-paced executive environment within a regulated financial services ecosystem.

    • Provide direct technical and operational support to Executive Directors across assigned portfolios
    • Assist in tracking strategic initiatives, executive action items, and cross-functional deliverables
    • Support the execution of Group-level projects and initiatives under executive direction
    • Conduct background research and analysis to inform executive decision-making
    • Develop and maintain executive dashboards, reports, and management information systems
    • Analyze financial, operational, and performance data and prepare executive summaries
    • Support preparation of board papers, investment briefs, and strategic presentations
    • Assist with documentation review, version control, and data validationPrepare high-quality reports, slide decks, briefs, and internal memoranda
    • Coordinate collation of materials for Executive Committee and Board meetings
    • Maintain organized records of executive documentation and confidential files
    • Ensure accuracy, consistency, and timeliness of executive communicationsLiaise with subsidiary companies, internal departments, and external partners on executive requests
    • Follow up on deliverables and ensure alignment with agreed timelines
    • Act as a coordination point between Executive Directors and operational teams
    • Support adherence to Group governance frameworks and regulatory requirements
    • Assist with compliance documentation and internal control reporting as required
    • Handle sensitive information with the highest degree of confidentiality and discretion

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
    • 6- 8 years’ experience in a technical assistant, executive support, analyst, or strategy support role
    • Experience working in a financial services, investment, fintech, or holding company environment is an advantage
    • Prior exposure to executive offices or C-suite stakeholders is highly desirableStrong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word (advanced level preferred)
    • Ability to analyze and interpret data and present insights clearly
    • Experience with dashboards, reporting tools, or MIS systems is an advantage
    • Strong documentation, reporting, and presentation skills
