    IP Senior Presales Officer

    Industry: Telecommunications

    Job Responsibilities

    • Candidate will be responsible for the organisation's IP/Datacom products network design, the Pre-sales in the field of IP/ Datacom Network Product in Nigeria
    • Technical director or SA of all types of IP/ Datacom Network Elements
    • IP network architecture design, pre-sale solution discussion with customer
    • IP network evaluation and consultant service for customer
    • Validate and quantify customer pain points/issues and business drivers, confirm the organisation's technical viability for the opportunity, understand the customer alternatives (vendor competitors) being considered including the current means of handling their requirements
    • Design and Deployment of all types of IP/ Datacom Network Elements: IP Core/IGW/IP RAN/DCN/Firewall etc.
    • Training, mentoring and product knowledge and skills transfer to other technical support engineers
    • Conduction of trainings for customers, subcontractors or service partners.
    • Summarize network sorted out issues and output case or product solutions on Huawei knowledge base.
    • Design communications diagrams and solution based on customer requirements.

    Academic Requirements /Technical Knowledge & Skills

    • Bachelor's Degree in Telecommunications, Science and Technology / Management, Electronics science, or related fields.
    • 10 years technical experience in an enterprise environment or with a large network
    • Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in Data Communication and Networking
    • More than 8 years working experience in IP field.
    • Good understanding of Datacom, Solid experience of IP, MPLS, BGP/MP-BGP, traffic engineering, SDN and IP network design.
    • Have IP Core/IP RAN/Data Center/Security network technical director experience, familiar with telecom provider network architecture.
    • Experienced with operators, other telecoms equipment suppliers or system integration suppliers is an advantage (Cisco, Juniper, Alcatel-Lucent etc)
    • Understand the procedure of telecommunication project implementation and maintenance procedure.
    • Good service spirit and strong communication ability
    • Good team work and fluent English
    • CCIE/JNCIE will be preferred.

    Salary
    N400,000 - N600,000 Monthly.

    Team Lead, Radio Access Network - BO

    Job Responsibilities

    • Main duties of a RAN TL include providing support and guidance on RAN Network Elements, and maintaining network elements by providing remote and onsite assistance if required.
    • RAN TL should also be able to perform network analysis to troubleshoot issues and coordinate communications between the customer, other operations domain and field team for an E2E issues resolution in the network.
    • High Level customer engagement on Network level KPIs and faults

    • Inter domain coordination for E2E network faults resolution.
    • Higher level support for team members on technical issues.

    • Fully own and drive major RAN KPIs, viz Cell Outage, VSWR, Network Alarms, TCH , WCL to customer acceptable minimum

    • To coordinate the communications between customer, operation’s team, and field support system
    • Develop and coordinate a concise Preventive maintenance and backup schedule for RAN NEs, with field support.

    Academic Requirements / Technical Knowledge & Skills

    • Bachelors Degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, Engineering or relevant fields
    • Minimum of 5 years experience in RAN operations with at least 2 years practical experience in telecom industry
    • Should be able to manage team of BO and FO in RAN operations Domain
    • Project management skills

    • Must be knowledgeable in NOC process (incident handling process/CR/PT,) network products knowledge

    Data Center Structural/Civil Engineer

    One of Nigeria's biggest telecommunications company is looking to fill the role of a Data Center Structural/Civil Engineer.

    Job responsibilities:

    • Support the project team to engage the clients and consultant teams.
    • Support the project during the tender as solution engineer or as part of the solutions team.
    • Develop local resources to support DC facility business. 
    • Promote and Present the company's DC structural/civil solution, as well as Manage client relationship.
    • Integrate design requirements as defined by client, mechanical & electrical engineers (internal and external) as well as product specialists to compile requirements for bid High Level Designs (HLD), often from the start, including: All structural and civil components, Baseline / Concept scheme drawings and schedules, Bassline bill of quantities (BoQ); Concept reports, 
    • All documentation required to compile high level project costs and in order to advise final design brief for completion by relevant country’s local consultants.
    • Compile main building structural / civil design & build RFPs.
    • Development and maintenance of Concept scheme design, prototype design, and template specifications for main building civil/structural elements; Create/maintain project documentation before, during, and after construction
    • Summarize project cost and generate baselines and valuation models; Construct and maintain the pricing models; Project cost management and optimization; Lead initiatives aimed at improving cost, quality, schedule, and consistency
    • Manage the work of external architectural/civil/structural design consultants.
    • Provide support for: Project management, including sub-contractor selection & management, supply chain, procurement, process management and acceptance.
    • Provide general and project support and guidance to all local project teams in the region to develop their delivery skills; Formulate delivery construction solution standards and guides; Formulate project acceptance criteria; 

    Academic Requirements, Technical Knowledge & Skills:

    • Degree in Engineering (Structural and Civil) non-negotiable.
    • Professional registration is required.
    • IT/ICT or any business related qualification will be an advantage.
    • Minimum 10 years structural/civil engineering experience, involving medium to large scale and complex projects (experience with data centre, mission critical and industrial projects).
    • Minimum 5 years’ experience in consulting engineering firm.
    • Minimum 2 large scale (no less than 1 megawatts) Data Center projects design or build experience.
    • In-depth knowledge of structural and civil engineering components for the construction of buildings (including drainage systems).
    • Fundamental understanding of M&E systems / building services requirements, including generators, fuel storage, UPS system, HVAC system, Medium and Low Voltage systems etc 
    • Possess a strong awareness of current and emerging industry standards including Uptime Institute, TIA 942 and local standard as well as vendors and technologies as that relate to the Data Center facilities.
    • Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, Revit and industry standard structural modelling software.
    • Working experience with MEP engineering consultants.
    • Vendor and consultant management skills.
    • Ability and willingness to think outside of the box to find innovative solutions prior to and during the construction process to reduce costs without negative impacts on quality or reliability.
    • Proficiency in building codes, regulations, and standards across the Nigeria and Africa region. International project and program experience.
    • Excellent communication skills capability, attention to detail, and high quality standards.
    • Ability to effectively communicate design standards to internal and external project partners.
    • Ability to manage multiple fast paced projects simultaneously and good project management capability. 
    • Ability to travel internationally.
