    Civic Education/History teacher

    Our Client, an international school with British Curriculum located in Abuja is looking to recruit a well experienced Teacher to take students in Civic Education / History. The ideal candidate will handle the subjects, prepare and give lesson and ensure excellent performance of students in subject areas.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • To assist in the development of appropriate syllabuses, resources, schemes of· learning, marking policies and teaching strategies in the curriculum area.
    • To plan and prepare courses and lessons.
    • To implement and deliver an appropriately broad, balanced, relevant and differentiated curriculum for students and to support a designated curriculum area as appropriate.
    • To monitor and support the overall progress and development of students as a teacher/ Form Tutor.
    • To facilitate and encourage a learning experience which provides students with the opportunity to achieve their individual potential.
    • To use a variety of delivery methods which will stimulate learning as appropriate to student needs and demands of the syllabus.
    • To contribute to raising standards of student attainment.
    • To use and develop the application of ICT in your curriculum area.
    • To take part in the school’s staff development programme by participating in arrangements for further training and professional development.
    • To track student progress and use information to inform teaching and learning.
    • To communicate effectively with the parents of students as appropriate.
    • Where appropriate, to communicate and co-operate with persons or bodies outside the school.
    • To follow agreed policies for communications in the school.
    • To share and support the school’s responsibility to provide and monitor opportunities for personal and academic growth.
    • To contribute to the whole school’s planning activities.

    REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATION

    • Bachelors of Education Degree in History/relevant course or BSc. plus PGDE
    • Masters in Education will be an added advantage
    • TRCN certification
    • Minimum of 5 years experience as a Civic Education / History Teacher in an international school
    • IGCSE/CIE experience
    • Confident and competent user of ICT
    • Excellent writing and communication skills
    • Ability to assess student work accurately and precisely using criteria

    Chartered Accountant

    JOB ADVERT FOR THE POST OF A CHARTERED ACCOUNTANT

    Our Client, a Solar Energy Company based  in Abuja and Warri  is looking to recruit a  Chartered Accountant. Ideal candidate must be a well-qualified individual dedicated to his or her craft and  looking for an organization worthy of the same dedication.

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Oversee all monthly payroll, accounts receivable and payable, tax payments, claim and invoice generation, and management of overhead expenses.
    • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports in regards to net revenue losses and gains, operating costs, travel and material expenses, and all other executive-level summaries for upper management to review.
    • Manage and track all activity related to inventory, including sales and rentals as well as promotional use, and re-order products when volumes get low.
    • Meet regularly with department heads to review budgetary allowances and expenses, and to ensure that each area’s financial records are reconciled by month-end.
    • Attend department staff meetings and executive meetings to provide an accounting of department- and organization-level financial figures.
    • Participate in annual review boards to analyze financial information for the prior year and make recommendations for improvements going forward.
    • Work with internal personnel and (if needed) outside tax consultants quarterly to prepare tax forms for submission.
    • Assist external auditors in reviewing processes and workflow by providing reports and supporting documentation, and by contributing personal knowledge and analysis.

    REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATION

    • Minimum Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance or other related field
    • Must be a Chartered Accountant.
    • Highly experience in accounting or other role involving financial analysis
    • Strong organizational and communication skills
    • Working knowledge of corporate tax laws
    • 5-6 years’ experience in accounting
    • Proficiency in all of the programs of the Microsoft Office suite

    Salary – N150,000/month
