• DIYSI is looking for a video content creator to join our dynamic team. We are looking for an experienced content creator that can create educational, engaging content about immigration in both short-and long-form videos for DIYSI YouTube channel.
• The successful applicant will have excellent graphic design, multimedia, and digital communication skills with an ability to execute campaigns across various platforms. This role will be responsible for coordinating social media channels and driving engagement.

Responsibilities

• Produce high-quality, engaging content for YouTube that can also be used on other social media, and DoItYourSelfImmigration’s website.
• Analyze immigration trends to come up with daily, weekly and monthly video content ideas for our social media platforms.
• Produce, edit and publish both animated, stock and anchor-based (aka live people) videos on a daily / weekly / monthly basis.

Requirements

• Candidates should possess an SSCE qualification.
• Familiar with growth strategies and video content distribution channels, specifically on YouTube, but also Twitter / Facebook / Instagram / Tiktok.
• 1 - 5 years experience in producing videos using AfterEffects, Final Cut Pro, FlaskBack or any other necessary video editing software you're comfortable using.
• Must be fluent in any of the following languages English, Hindi, French, or Nigeria Pidgin.
• Possess a reliable and good quality internet connection (on a daily basis).
• Ability to Research information on the internet, specifically immigration and its communities, with a strong understanding of the subject.
• Ability to work independently (remotely) with little to no supervision.

About the Role

• DIYSI is looking for a Graphic Designer to help create unique illustrations and graphics, to be included in our videos, animation, and website. You will be working on illustrations and graphics for multiple videos at the same time, everything from character creation to text, and infographics.
• We're looking for Graphic Designers with a sophisticated approach and a unique point of view, think YouTube Channels like Bloomberg Quicktake, Vice, etc.

Responsibilities

• Research, conceptualize and produce video graphics on a wide range of immigration-related topics.
• Incorporate team feedback gracefully into your work.
• Experiment with different versions of an edit, exploring multiple directions if needed.
• Awareness of what competitors are doing in video thumbnails and stay one step ahead.
• Create promotional media content for all divisions of the company.
• Update company websites with new content, as well as edit existing content.
• Assist with the development of marketing strategies.
• Updating social media accounts.
• Edit and retouch photographs.

Requirements

• Candidates should possess an SSCE qualification.
• 1+ years of experience in graphic design.
• Proficient in using Adobe Suite, especially After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere, and other graphic tools.
• Capable of creating a scene based on the briefing received from the teams.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with 1-3 day turnaround time on finishing pieces.
• Experience in finding and collecting relevant archival footage and other material to be incorporated into graphics.
• Proactive attitude in problem solving and suggestions, ability to implement feedback with ease and in a timely manner.
• Knowledge of immigration is a plus, but not necessary. However, a hunger to learn as much as possible about the ever-evolving immigration world is a must.
• Experienced in producing polished, professional motion graphics work, carried from concept to completion, largely independently.
• Painting, music, and nearly any other creative skill is a plus.
• Experience working on a remote team preferred.

• As a Web Developer, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of tools and web applications for our website
• You will also oversee the web design’s technical vision in alignment with DIYSI's vision and objectives to build an impressive online presence, improve user interaction on our platform by optimizing mobile and desktop view, and improve our search engine optimization.

Responsibilities

• Own, develop and bring to life strong web designs and strategies to deliver world-class user digital experiences.
• Incorporate team feedback gracefully into your work.
• Update company websites with new content, as well as edit existing content.
• Analyze technical specifications and engineering requirements.
• Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code, with visual comps for a highly functional user interface with a focus on usability and simplicity of design.
• Prepares detailed software verification test plans.
• Develop a website maintenance and performance plan and execute each task for short and long-term goals.
• Carry out cross-browser tests to ensure a browser-agnostic website when accessed through different browser-OS combinations i.e. Firefox, Chrome, Edge, Safari—on any of the popular operating systems like Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android, different devices i.e. users can view and interact with our website on popular devices—smartphones, tablets, desktops, and laptops, etc. And with assistive Tools i.e., screen readers for individuals who are differently-abled.
• Maintain / update assets to meet web standards (Accessibility, Performance, Security, SEO).
• Correct website issues with short deadlines and quick turnaround when possible and provide detailed updates on the progress of long-term projects.
• Translate technical concepts and requirements for non-technical stakeholders.
• Familiar or have little experience with tools such as AXE (Accessibility Tool) NVDA (Screen reader tool for Windows), Voice Over (Screen reader for Mac OS / iOS), Google Lighthouse (Web desktop / mobile audit tool).
